Why would even ask/write this.... 'BRO'! Are you one of those guys that just can't figure it out! Wheels and rotors alone are 70- 80lbs savings on his car. Maybe this post is just a jealous post to try and make an excuse for why 'he' went this fast and you didn't! Look on the bright side...you did a 10.80 burnout when you were at the track!
Perfect answer! You didn't want to mention the carbon fiber body panels that you painted silver? Why didn't you mention the carbon fiber engine block?
Awesome runs Kevin!
P.S. You could have put 130mph and not 129.99!!! That 'IS' 130mph in my book!

No not at at all but everyone claims that the sl55 is so much heavier than the E?
Nothing wrong with asking if he took out some weight

Great times! And did I read somewhere that was on street rubber? 60' might as well just read "INSANE" on that slip.
Neg 1100 for DA on those runs. Outstanding.
I'm little heavier in the nose, of course. But here's my SL600 for reference...
Not sure of the difference in curb weight between the 55 and 600 flavors.

I can't believe you got a way with a hello kitty bicycle helmet. That had to save you 3lbs. LOL It was awesome watching your car again and again run one 10.8x after another. The Vette crowd was impressed at how well it ran. Its better than the 0.0x at 000.xx I had and flatbed ride home.

This is asking? Quote 'Did you gut the car for that weight?' Not really how you ask someone that question without implying that 'he' might have run 'that' fast for 'this' reason! Kinda like the other thread about Florida compared to NY racing like it's worth a 1/2 second! Just seems like you are making excuses for why 'his' car is faster than mine!? Who cares? The SL600 shows it's weight and that's a 12 cylinder, probably a BIT heavier than the SL55, just a guess! So, I guess he lightened it by what? 150lbs total? Maybe! Which includes what everyone does, less fuel, less washer fluid, lighter wheels, rotors, etc. Whatever, I can only say, go to the track and run your car and I am impressed...I don't care what it runs! It's the guys who are dyno queens and say this and that but never get a time that are aggravating! All you guys seem to track and that's impresses me! Good luck and go as fast as possible!

Really? I don't care if his is faster, many cars are faster than mine and yes even his. I asked a question and you didn't like the way it was asked, come on man.
I'll give a perfect example. RBJ ran at pbir 11.07 , next week goes to Mir same, weight and setup, 10.75
DA helps, that's why there will never be a record breaker without nos in south Florida, DA yesterday was over +1000 at pbir yesterday, see the difference? At this point, it's moot, he ran 10.80, god bless and good luck tomorrow!

We know someone is always faster it just seemed that you were trying to discount his runs or other runs bc of weight or DA or track, whatever. I am going by some of your posts in other threads too.
As far as RBJ's runs, probably in 80 degree weather in Fla. and low barometer compared to 50 degrees and high barometer at MIR...with better fuel, less weight, etc.! LOL I am sure he will chime in and give the accurate facts of those runs. I was just saying that I am NOT going to the track in sweltering heat, low barometer and humid! lol I just won't go! I would wait for good weather. Last year I ran a 10.62 with +400 DA and a 10.58 in -400 DA with identical 60' times. MPH was 1/2 mph difference.
He is going to tomorrow, as you know, and the DA is going to be sick...so let's see the difference! Tune in tomorrow afternoon! I will get times up as soon as I know and I get to my computer! I can't make it there unfortunately but if MIR is what you say...I could have went 9s!
Either way, hope your car runs well whenever you run it and maybe see ya over at that sh*thole PBIR! LOL

Yes pbir is a **** hole for sure lol
RBJ ran exactly the same setup at pbir as he did at Mir ,same fuel , same weight.
11.01 , 1.60 60' @ 125.4
71*
Da was alittle over 600
Mir best was 10.75@129
Anyway, let's forget all this let me know if you come down we will try to hit the track, holidays are here
