03 Center Speaker speaker/grill removal
Ok I searched and I'm not finding my exact grill, all I'm finding is either this grill https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ker-grill.html
which actually looks like mine but this one is in 2 pieces and this other write up https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...placement.html
which is different as well.
Mine is one huge piece which has the ac controls attached to it and I can't find a DIY how to remove it. I've attached a picture

If it doesnt have that part that comes of first, im pretty sure you need to remove the woodtrim and behind it theres srews holding it from the front side. Afte that its with clips towards the windshield!

You can try to remove that lower trim and see if it is held in only by the two lower screws in this picture. It's pretty easy to remove that lower wooden trim. If it doesn't come out easily then maybe look for screws hidden in the louvres
Yours is indeed unique though .. Take a picture of it after you remove it .. it'd be interesting to see how it is constructed.

How to remove center speaker grill w211 e320
I had trouble finding a good description of how to remove the center speaker grill on the later model W211. My concern was causing damage to either the grill or the dash vinyl during removal. As these cars become older, the possibility of dash damage increases due to the age of the plastics. I did find the Mercedes factory description showing the factory method of how to remove this speaker grill. It said to take a plastic angle shaped wedge and to put it into the 10 o-clock and 2 o-clock positions of the grill between the dash and grill (at the windshield side) and to pry the grill out. I saw this factory method as asking for damaged dash vinyl. Here is what I did-
1) The grill is held in place by four metal clips which snap into the dash. (see picture). The vent side of the grill also has attaching plastic tabs. Never pry from the vent side of the grill.
2) To remove, you want to pull up on the grill at the location of the attaching clips which are closest to the windshield (approximately 10:00 and 2:00 o-clock positions. You can find the correct location of the clip to pull by measuring 6 inches forward from the vent side corner of the gill (see picture).
3) I created a tool using aluminum which was approximately credit card thickness. I put a 90-degree bend in one end by clamping the aluminum into a vice and using a hammer to put a very sharp bend into it. I filed the bent end to be very short (apprx 1/32") and cleaned any rough edges from it.
4) I used a sharp blade and placed it between the grill and the dash at approximately 5" forward from the vent side of the grill and used this blade to apply a small amount of pressure to push the grill over slightly. This was to give a little extra room to insert the tool.
5) Work the aluminum tool (bent angle down and facing towards the grill) in between the grill and dash vinyl carefully at the 6" position.
6) Pull up on the tool and the grill's clip will pop out. Once one side is unclipped, it is easy to pop the other side out either by hand or by again using the tool.
