Stock supercharger pulley- machining down?
I know it has been discussed. I have done searches. I know you can't take much off. But does anyone know how many mm you can take off?? I'm sure Shardul and others have experience or knowledge of this. I'm looking for 15hp yet keeping stock pulley and springs. I have read 1mm=.2 lbs of boost. 1 in of boost ='14 hp. That's pretty true for crank pulley but not so for supercharger pulleys.
In the defense of that statement I will use the gains reported for the 84mm clutched pulley and 83 mm fixed. In theory they are only 6-7 mm smaller than stock. Yet produce double what the above formula.
So if you get the OEM pulley down to 87 mm couldn't you get 15 hp fairly safely???
