I'm assuming this is something that can be read in DAS. what is the procedure, and what is spec for this preload pressure?

It is a self test of the SBC pressure reservoir. The test will tell you if it has passed, or failed.

I didn't find (look for) a self test, but the actual values can be read here:

Control Units > Chassis > SBC > actual values > pressures>

Mine measured 95 bar on a 2006, so I'm guessing it was recently replaced by the previous owner. Yay!

You will have to go in to: (complete list of guided tests) to find the pretension test. The pressure reservoirs do not fail that often. You may have a fault for it but it will pass the test. This will require replacement of the SBC unit as a whole.

Thanks. I'll add this to my Xentry cheat sheet. This test comes back every two years.
