Was about to order this aftermarket grill to paint gloss black:

you should be able to find it. i spent quite some time looking for the gloss black grill for my E63. it actually costed 10-20 dollars more for the gloss black vs matte.

You would think it would be easy to find, but I can't seem to find one. The link you posted is for a W210, I need one for W211, i have an 05

swapping to a suveneer e63 bumper on my e55 and looking for a gloss black grille for my car too... unfortunately, I have distronic and would like to keep it. Anyone know if distronic will still work with one of these e63 replica grills?

oops sorry. did you try emailing the retailer? i personally like the gloss black 5 fin w211 e55 that only is found in matte currently on ebay.

It will mine works just fine still. It just lacks the cover in the grill to protect the radar puck that makes distronic work. Course the puck new from MB is like $2000 but you can find used for $400 if you ever needed. I have gone without the cover for 2 years but only drive my car 7k miles per year.

thanks for the info.. anything I can do to protect the puck? Can I take that "protector" piece off the oem grill and fit it on the replica grill?

Never tried but you could try to place something in front of it. Really if the radiator can survive without a cover I think the puck can too. It would take a rock of good size to make it through the slats in the grill and hit it just right to mess it up.

But do what you think is best for you.
