Jacking up an E55 (...like for oil change, brakes, etc)

Hey all, my Audi A8 used to have a "jacking mode" that you could put the car in so that the air suspension remains fixed in place isn't constantly trying to hunt for the ground while you jack up the car with a floorjack/lift when working on it.

Is there a similar setting somewhere within the E55 menu screens? Or would putting the airmatic in lift mode be sufficient, and then very slowly lowering the car when setting it back down under its own weight.

Thanks in advance!

I have race ramps but when I do use the jack I never notice the airmatics trying to find the ground or operating.

The E55 has no "jacking mode".

Au Contraire... You can enable this mode by having a buddy sit in the driver's seat, start the engine (while the car is still on the ground) and maneuver yourself near the rear of the car.

Now this part is crucial...

You'll have to get as close to the rear bumper as possible. With your buddy in the seat, yell "NOW!" while placing your ear in the vicinity of either exhaust outlet.

Congratulations! You've now engaged "Jacking Mode".

Turn off the alarm (above the rear view mirror). I have set mine off many times jacking the car up and it thinks it's getting stolen/towed. Scared the hell out of me

I did this around 12:30am on a weekday a few weeks ago. Don't think my neighbors liked me that night.

I always just raise the suspension height with the button, then proceed to jack the car. IMO MB did a pretty bad job with the jacking points on the E55, so make sure it's in a safe location that isn't going to be cracking all the plastic underneath!

I could be wrong but I think it only adjust the height while the vehicle is on or whenever you open and close a door since it's looking to compensate for a weight change due to a person.
