Help! - Wipers just stopped working! and it's raining :(
Hello,
So I was at the lights and I was raining. I was like let me slow them down.
I move them down to 0 - they didn't stop. I was like wtf - I tried to speed
them up and that didn't work either. I was like okay!
I turned car off and on and boom - the wipers in themselves stopped working.
The signals still work, the wipers don't work when I press for washer fluid either.
If I manually pull the wiper to the middle of the windshield and put the key back in then they will retract back to original spot
but then fail to move again.
Trip to dealership or anyone know what can i do?
Thanks

So the washer comes out too now.
I think the motor is shot cuz signals works -only thing non operational are the wipers.
If fuse was gone that means the washer won't work either right?
Is their a DIY for the wiper motor replacement or dealership?

The windshield wiper motor is a permanent magnet electric motor that runs the windshield wipers via a linkage (transmission). The motor speed is controlled via a stalk with input from the driver through a control module. Read more about it and how to fix it via our DIY Tech Article here. It might also help track down the issue if it isn't the motor itself.

so the wipers started working now.
Also, the sunroof isn't working with one touch anymore. I have to press the button then release the button then press it again.
I was on vacation and came back month and half later. I wonder if that has anything to do with these issues cuz I got
no check engine light or anything.
Even for emission the shop told me to do 100-150 kms driving it otherwise the sensors won't be ready n that's exactly
what happened. First day I went in- it showed 5 sensors not ready and two days later. It passed in 5 mins lol
I still got in an appointment cuz Sunroof is also busted and it isn't panoramic.

Ok the problem is back. Anyone think the problem is with the simple rain/light sensor behind the rear view mirror??
The wipers work, indicators work, the windshield washer works.
Now today it was raining. So I turned on the wipers and everything was fine I tried to turn them off and lol they kept going on n on n on.
So I'm wondering if it's the sensor or fuse ??
