AMG gaining penetration

I'm sure everyone here knows that the infamous Pagani Zonda and now the Pagani Huayra both use exclusive AMG motors. Now Aston Martin has joined the party and signed a deal which will allow them to use engines and electronics from Mercedes in exchange for five-percent of the company. The new DB11 has taken full advantage of this new agreement by utilizing not only a choice of V8 or V12 AMG motors but also much of the interior (both cosmetic and the underlying electronics) comes courtesy of the S Class. This affirmation of quality with recognized exotic vehicles opting for AMG power and Mercedes engineering can only be good for the brand. Similar to Maserati utilizing Ferrari motors in their vehicles...

Look up @f1mike28 on Instagram. He is one of the individual AMG builders that is building the Pagani engines.

Even nicer!

I was perusing Mike's instagram profile and surprised to discover he is one of only two AMG engine builders who build Pagani engines. A very capable and passionate engineer in an exceedingly exclusive position.

That feller is building what I suspect is the very nastiest most evil in every good way "production" engine on the planet...

Pagani using AMG is no surprise, but it's kind of sad that Aston Martin can't make their own great engines.
