Hey Guys, so I'm new to the Mercedes world (but I'm very familiar with bmw's), I recently purchased a 04 E55 with 138,000 on it.

I don't have much back ground on it, but the car is pretty solid! No check engine lights or airmatic problems (works great!) Just the usual needed items pads, wear sensors, brake light sensor, S/C bearing, ball joints/arms/bushings..etc. Besides that the car runs strong!


Now, me and my family will be traveling to NC from PA, around a 800 mile round trip. I wanted to get some advise from the pros on some items that should be replaced as preventative maintenance (do not want to be stranded on our way there or back lol) -


I have a list of things that I have in mind - please let know what you guys think - not sure if i'm being too cautious or not


Belt System -
Supercharger and Accessory Belts -
Supercharger and Accessory Idler Pulley's - (going with eurocharge)
Supercharger and Accessory Belt Tensioners -
Eurocharged Crank Upgrade - maybe later lol



Cooling System -
Radiator - really not sure if this is over the top?
Radiator Fan - ??
Coolant Hoses - ??
Water Pump -
I/C pump -


Fuel System -
Fuel Pumps - ??


Sensors -
Crank Position Sensor -
Voltage Regulator - yes/no? - not sure if its something that will me stranded


Of course I have spark plug and transmission change on my list to get done in the next few days.


Please add if I'm missing something

Your sensor list, replace both if they are still stock. Do it as a prevention. That's the only things I can say will leave you stranded for sure if they do give out
