Odd brake pedal vibe
OK, we are gonna put this car up ion the lift, but thought I should get some opinions. '03 e55, with a lot of Brabus k8 stuff done (by apple55), none of which should have any bearing on the issue. Symptom is, there is a seeming engine RPM-speed-related vibration that appears only under braking and only under 30 mph. It feels all the world like the engine is rubbing on something it shouldn't, like say the swaybar, under certain circumstances, but we *just* put new engine mounts in, and it isn't using the swaybar as a motomount anymore. You do not feel any vibe through the brake pedal, just through the chassis. How much of this disconnect is due to the magic Disney brake controller box, I don't know, but it sure feels like using brakes brings about the problem as opposed to being the problem. If it was something stupid like warped rotors the vibration would be worse at high speed but instead there's no problem at all at more than 30. Trans mount? Driveshaft guibo? What should we look at first?

Yes. This is why we did motor mounts. We'll put it on the lift and have a look at them, see if they.. moved about somehow. Kinda doubt it, they've only been in there for a couple thou.

I did the motor mounts on my old car and within 3k miles they were bad again. Found out they sent me E550 mounts so that probably had something to do with it. Make sure you got the right ones!
