Exhaust question...
Ok looking to make the car a little louder, current exhaust is Eurocharged mid length headers, no primaries, no secondaries, a vibrant X pipe in place of the resonator, stock mufflers... When you start the car, it has no audible difference at idle. When you get on it, it sounds pretty stock, although I'm told it's loud outside.
My ideas were to add the resonator back in and delete mufflers. Another idea was to delete mufflers and add 2 vibrant straight through mufflers...
Thoughts?

Well there is no way it sounds stock. Its probably loud like people say. Are you wanting it to sound like a muscle car. Change the mufflers it will get loud. Resonator will help with rasp but when u let off it will probably gargle and sputter. I heard,a sound clip where a guy ran a J pipe and it sounded pretty sweet. Yes a J pipe.

I love my exhaust setup and I know my car is loud as hell! I **** off quite a few of people with it haha. Kleemann midlengths->no primary cats->secondary cats->no resonator->c63 mufflers

I started with stock exhaust and now I am running long tubes, de-catted, X-pipe and 6.3 mufflers. It sounds like a diesel truck idling and at WOT it sounds like a funny car. Video doesn't do justice.
If you have the coin, throw long tubes on it and call it a day. 6.3 mufflers (CLS 63's) are the best middle ground.

I'd try to get some C63 or CLS55 mufflers. I have Kleemann headers, straight pipes to CLS55 mufflers and its LOUD. I just ordered the fabberge mid pipes with the x-pipe to try to get rid of some of the rap and even it out a little.

Almost same setup but still have primaries, can you smell fuel since you removed all the cats?
I messed with the rear boxes, gutted (too loud) and then replaced with aftermarket, was great at first but then it became annoying at all revs.......... so put stock rear boxes back on.

A de-catted E55 Smells like a gigantic go cart. It's pretty annoying. It smells like raw fuel and exhaust fumes most of the time. The worst is when you stop and the wind blows it inside the car.

On my E55 I have Kleemann Headers, X pipe, (C63) Mufflers and pipes
You can smell the fuel (i'm running rich as well) when parking.
On start up the neighbours get pissed, sounds reduces once warmed up, sounds brutal on the gas. For my usage its too much, far too much attention.
I'll record a quick video (exhaust system does have a few small holes in it needing patching) I'd like to get new mufflers with more deep rumble less rasp.
