Blown Strut?
Hi guys, was recently driving and out of nowhere I hear a strong pop noise by the drivers side front wheel. So I immediately park the car and I go by the wheel and I'm hearing this strong whistle noise coming from the tire. At first I thought it was a nail but apparently it isnt. So I did a quick test on the airmatic suspension. The car goes to level 1 airmatic but when I push to level 2, I hear the strong whistle and it doesn't go up. All in all, the car is a little lowered. So what I'm picturing is a blown strut. If i continue to drive it, which I won't, I feel like the pump will fail. Can anyone think of another reason? There are NO messages on the dashboard. If it is the strut, does the pump need to be replaced too?

The pump doe not need to be replaced with the strut.
You can get a remanufactured strut direct from Arnott with a coupon code found in the W211 vendor sub-forum.
