E63 Tranny Oil

Read up several posts here on just doing a oil and filter change for the W211 E63 tranny. Called up several dealers and they only seem to do the flush and not the oil/filter change. I also need new spark plugs I'm assuming since the car is around 66k. Get this... they quoted me 1350 for tranny oil change and spark plugs. Crazy. Anyone know a good cheap place in SoCal I can take my car for a decent price instead of a stealership?

Spark plugs take about 15 minutes to change. Why not do it yourself?

That's pretty a pretty high price. I thought a regular fluid and filter change was about almost $400 on a regular W211. It uses Shell ATF 134 for fluid doesn't it? So the rest of it must just be the plugs which would be almost 1k. I think there's another sub forum that mentions local indys, maybe you can find an indy and get it done there.

You have to be mis communicating with the dealers. I don't know of any dealer that does a flush. It's standard for all dealers to do the oil and filter change. You are looking at around 400 for each of these services possibly 500 for the plugs at any dealer.
