Well I couldn't find a buyer for my C5 Z06, so I worked out a pretty good trade-in deal on this E55. Really excited to have the car. It does have a few issues, none of which affect drivability, but are just annoyances. It had its pads freshly replaced and is still throwing a brake pad sensor error. I also have TPMS system error, just saying that it needs to be reactivated. Also, when I got the car home it threw a low coolant code, I'd never seen that before during the times that I'd been to the lot to check it out. I'm hoping that with just adding some coolant I'll be able to get rid of that and it won't be related to a leak or something. If anyone has some input on these things I'd be happy to listen!
Had a bunch of Germans before, but this is my first Benz! Looking forward to being a part of the community.

most likely the TPMS are just dead on batteries. Different years had different frequencies, so make sure you get the correct replacements. You'll also want to get a mercedes STAR tool. This will make working on one 1000x easier and save you a crapload in diagnostic fees.

Looks beautiful, congrats Black looks amazing. Get the E63 front end, taillights, trunk finisher, side mirrors, headlights and a better set of wheels (OEM E63 wheels are nice) and the car will look like it was made in 2015. It really is a gorgeous design but when facelifted it's much more stunning. Wish you all the best

If you have no proof the fuel filter was replaced at 60K miles, do so ASAP. ~$489 if you do it yourself and if you replace the fuel pumps and relay at the same time you'll come in a bit under $1000. Multiple versions as they upgraded and modified the fuel system so research what you need or just replace everything with the latest parts.
Also, the relay locations in the standard E-series are not the same as the relay locations in the AMG E55. What is the E350 fuel pump relay is the E55 intercooler pump relay. The air pump relay in the E350 is the oil cooler radiator fan in the E55. The relays in the E55 are hidden behind the passenger-side panel in the trunk.
Trust me, you don't want the car's fuel system to put you on the side of the road on an elevated expressway in downtown rush-hour traffic (ask my wife).
Also, pull the wheels off and look for cracks in the inside wall of the rims.
I find my car to be very nice but learning the idiosyncracies drove me bonkers for awhile. Steep learning curve if you expect to work on it yourself. And, if you don't own a SDS now, find one. It's the only way to work on this car. And, you can sell the diagnostic system with the car and make your money back.
Enjoy your ride!

I'm very interested in getting a diagnostic system... I know that it has been discussed on this forum ad nauseam, but I can't seem to find a current link to what option is the best value. Could someone point me in the right direction? I already emailed Shardul, so I'm aware of that option.

Thanks for the warm welcome! As a new owner, I have a few questions (I searched!).
- Has anyone found a bluetooth streaming option for music that will show song/artist info and not give an error? My car does not have the iPod integration in the glovebox, only a phone cradle (without the V60 phone) and an AUX input in the glovebox.
- My seat bolsters seem unnecessarily tight. I'm a fairly thin guy, and I can't seem to get them to adjust outward enough. I've used button #5 in this picture, although it's in a different spot on my adjusting panel, and pushed it all the way to the right which seemingly does nothing.
- Lastly, my seat also seems to go in and out of dynamic mode. Is there something special that I need to do in order to keep it in that mode?
Appreciate the help! Seems like there are so many nuances to learn about this car!

My car also randomly initiated an SOS call last night, which I saw has been something that people have had problems with in the past. If it happens again I'll be investing in a SDS and just turning that function off.
