2003 E55 AMG for $8500 worth it?
2003 e55 with ~130,000 miles and a salvage title. I believe it was hit on the drivers side as both the front fender and rear quarter have been replaced.

Here is the problem. What will you use the car for? As a daily I'm not sure. These cars if neglected total more than that in maintenance. If it's a weekend car or drag car offer 7k. If 8.5 is pushing your budget then it's not for you. If you live paycheck to paycheck DO NOT buy an AMG.

Op is looking at an E55 not SL....so different car
My take is if you can do your own repairs and have about five thousand in reserve and the engine checks out healthy...go for it. Try to get some maintence history from a Mercedes dealership using the vin number.
