Brembo Brakes
Anyone have a part number for the O ring which goes inside of the rear brakes? The O ring that seals the fluid channels between the two halves of the caliper. Thanks

Yes, the rear calipers consist of 2 halfs that are bolted together. Have you allredy taken them apart? So you are sure thereis a O ring there?
You can get the dust covers and _piston_ seal rings separetly. You dont mean the piston seal rings? If theres a seal/O ring between the two halfs, im pretty sure you have look it up from brembo directly or a decent shop that sells o rings and such

Old thread but wanted to ask.
I found the following for the fronts:
https://www.zeckhausen.com/catalog/p...4jnes577hspsj5
Is this kit any good?
I am really only looking for dust seals but while everything is apart I might as well change the internal seal. Note these are 8 piston front calipers and 4 piston rear calipers (standard amg/brembo). Really want to stay OEM. I have brembo part numbers on the seals but nothing comes up when entering the part number online.
I also noticed with the part numbers above in this thread:
001 421 00 86:
Comes up as Mercedes Disc Brake Caliper Repair Kit Front. (Are these the internal seals/ external dust seals? One or both? How many are needed per caliper?
000 421 94 86:
This comes up as nothing.. is this an old part number or did it get superseded by something else?
Rear: 000 421 74 86
Is this for the 4 piston caliper? Again, dust seals and internal o-ring? One or the other..etc. How many per caliper?
EDIT:
I also read: this is how many are needed:
*(2): 001-421-00-86 - Front caliper rebuild.
*(2): 001-421-74-86 - Rear caliper rebuild.
Thanks

Good
Yes, that is the same kit I bought. Good stuff, made from silicone. You can't buy Brembo OEM parts, they won't sell it, want you to buy new calipers. I took mine apart for powder coating, and replaced all seals and dust shields, plus the O rings in between. The O rings are a different style and work better. Buy the brake parts assembly lube also.
You're going to need a scanner which can deactivate the brakes and then later re-activate them so you can bleed the system.

Brembo
Also, the Mercedes kits are for non Brembo brakes, they are for OEM Mercedes. You need the zeckhausen kit for Brembo. email them with any questions, the owner gets back to you right away and is knowledgeable.

Welp both those MB part numbers don't exist anymore. Just had my order cancelled by hte dealer stating they are no longer made.
My car doesn't have the SBC brakes so I don't have to worry about that or programming even though I do have STAR/DAS on my laptop and a c4 mux.
The kit that zeckhausen sells via the CENTRIC 14335033 for $35 can be found on RockAuto for $13.29.
Their rear seal kit also by Centric for $35 can be found on RockAuto for $15.48.
Figured that might help someone since they are charging double...
Grand total for front/rear (2 of each) after 5% off and shipping is $59.65 compared to $140 plus whatever they charge for shipping. I couldn't tell because it requires you to create an account which is silly.
My seals looked OK, but it's one of those things that everything is already dismantled and I might as well change to new seals after they get painted.

True, you can get the seals and dust shields cheaper from rock auto, but you will not find the O rings from any one else aside from zeckhausen

Got the dust seals and internal o-rings from rockauto. Quality is oem or better honestly. I'm impressed with Centric on this.
What o-rings does zeckhausen carry that no one else does? It doesn't seem like there is anything else that needs to be rebuilt on these other than the seals/dust covers.
Thanks,
-Nigel

no need for Mercedes SDS tool to deactivate, we simply disconnect battery. It is advisable to bench bleed new/rebuilt calipers prior to reinstallation and connecting brake lines. You will however need SDS to perform proper fluid flush through SBC unit, reservoir, lines and calipers. Proper flush requires about a gallon on brake fluid.
