so does this allow the toggling of features on and off? like disabling the sbc for a brake job?

It looks like a great device. Just one time use and sell? Would be nice to keep around.

It will not go deep into certain areas like for example, it will not bleed brakes or other tests in sbc, same with airmatic etc.

It is a good alternative to star to know and clear the codes in the various components like bcm or ac system but you will not be able to lower the car or clear trans adaptations.

I thought it would clear an SBC code..I was mistaken.. I bought it before doing more extensive research... My other unit does all of the other things I need so , I'm parting with this unit if there is any interest

No, it doesn't. You CANNOT disable SBC with this tool. I've tried. Also can't reset CH249F code. It will give you a lot of data, and can reset a lot of other stuff.

If there is a code for pressure being low for example then it can't deactivate it, however if there are no pending codes in the sbc it can deactivate it .

That blows. It wont clear or help you with airmatic issues? The hell good is this thing then? Better off saving more and getting star setup from china.

It will get into airmatic and look at the codes and clear but you can't lower it.

This is a great unit to leave in the car and to always have with you.

Exactly. Think of this as an enhanced OBDII reader, not a STAR system. It's more of a stop gap.

They're at $160, get it there for their lifetime warranty? Otherwise it's $150 from Amazon.

I just like buying from forum supporters (not just them) with an excellent reputation. That is worth $10 for me especially if you have problems. I don't think you would need their lifetime warranty for that type of tool but it can't hurt.
