2006 E55 AMG Wagon
Narrower Wheels?

Just bought a very nice 2006 E55 AMG Wagon and need to install snow tires, preferably studded Nokian Hakkapelliittas, similar to what I've used on my W124 wagon for years in Colorado. Narrower snow tires work best, so I'd like to find a set of narrower wheels (maybe even smaller diameter, to work with a higher profile snow tire) to match. Any suggestions as to what will fit?

Thanks,

Not to undermine your question but if you have a nice wagon why would you drive it with those tires? For the price of the tires you can buy a beater full size f150. There are only a few thousand of those. Why put it harms way. Personally I don't drive my car when it's wet.

You can't fit anything smaller than an 18" wheel on that car due to the brakes. I am running an aftermarket set of 8" wide wheels with winter tires.

Thanks,
I may consider parting with my stock wheels and go to 19's. What are you looking to spend? I'm in Denver so that'll save you some $$$ on shipping.

Thanks, folks, but I found a set of decent stock wheels and have gone with full-size studded Nokia snow tires.
