I forgot to mention that after I rolled/pull/stretched the fenders i had even more space than I anticipated. Which allowed me to run a 10mm spacer to flush the rear wheels nicely to the fenders.

I am keeping the OEM wheels, my friend is buying the gfg's and I'm buying something else. Not sure on offset they were made for my car, tires are to tall in the front 245/35/20 rears are 275/30/20 I believe.

2007 Mercedes E-350 4-Matic
Advice on tires for 2007 E-350 4-Matic 245/40/R18 vs. 245/45/R18
I need suggestion on tires which I will be replacing on 2007 E-350 4-Matic which currently has Continental ContiPro 245/40/R18
I am thinking of going with 245/45/R18 Michelin X-Ice. This tire is a little taller 40 vs. 45 and I want to raise my car a little bit. Also I am getting a very good deal on these brand new tires which has excellent reviews on snow/ice.
Any suggestion or concerns if I go with 245/45/R18 ; 100 H instead of OEM ?
People talk about strain on 4-Matic transmission and odometer not being accurate if your replacement is not the OEM specifications. Are these things true ?

[QUOTE=The Godfather;6400064]Just to remind the n00bs how a W211 is done properly, sitting on 20" HRE wheels. None of that funky transformers stuff seen on the post above.
Was gonna say something....but I'm at work and sober right now

Yes I have seen this, but just states the results of running various tire sizes not the rim widths using these tires. but I found what I needed here.
