Congrats to your new born and the wagon.
Did you wrap the window trim by yourself? Was it easy? Would appreciate if you could post some closed up shots of the finished job.

Yes for sure Jordan I will take pictures probably today. I was not expecting to do it all yesterday night. I just wanted to try out the product and do an easy part (liftgate chrome strip) but decided to continue... until 2:30 am! Took about 4h to do it all, working slowwith music and a beer.

The product is really easy to work with. For sure my job is not perfect but I was gettting better at it at every chrome strip. One trick I found was to try to stick the vynil with one edge of the cut product as close as possible to the edge of the chrome (instead on just lying it in the middle like on some YouTube video). this makes it really easy to stretch and make it smooth, especially on the curved strips above doors. Other thing I discovered late is that a joint is really not that visible. I will probably buy another roll and restart the job with the practice I had. One 3 inch roll can easily be cut in 2 to double the product.

July 17th 2014 will be remembered for a couple of months as the day I got my *** in my 2014 wagon... after a lot of expectations and reading on this foroum.

Not much driving impressions... did mostly some traffic jam driving to go get my son from daycamp and going back and forth from home to hospital to see wife and baby. I think anyways everything's been said a couple of times in a couple of threads!

I can only say that I'm still intimidated by the beast! Will take a couple of weeks to get comfortable with the size and power of this thing. Oh and sound is awesome, not as raw as the 6.3 but!

I had fun tonight blacking out some chrome with shadowline trim... rear chrome strip and window surrounds done... now I'll attack grille but it's quite complicated so I'll probably only do the surrundings and leave the wings ad star silver.

I also tried the 19 inchers I have since november in my garage and to my surprise they clear the CCB and the huge deflector behind rotors. For those looking for 19 in winters these work!

Man these brakes could stop a truck!

congrats on all of the above^

the CCB are hilarious- who knew?!

Congrats Kart! Finally!! The B&O and CCBs are COMPLETELY worth the price of admission. I love both of mine and can't imagine not having them now. The only think with the B&O I have a gripe with is I get an occasional creaking from the front tweeters in the doors next to the mirrors. More noticeable when I hit a bump...does anyone else have this? Its bad enough that I think I may take it to the dealer to have them look at it...

It isn't really a swipe, it is more of a kicking motion. I kick in once quickly and that usually does the trick. Just make sure you have the key in your pocket or on your person somewhere.

Mine works very consistently with the kicking motion as long as I do not have the key in the same pocket as my phone. If my key and phone are in the same pocket, then it never works (must be magnetic / electrical interference).

Got my VIN in the beginning of July, told by dealer that my wagon was supposed to be shipped from Bremerhaven on 14th, nothing shows up on Wallenius Wilhelmsen's tracking system, still shows no records, does it mean mine got delayed? It kinda of sucks for a car to wait for almost one month to be loaded on a ship, waiting is killing me.

It might not be on WW then. Could be on another carrier. Talk to you sales guy.

I remember seeing their boats come and go from Port of Miami when I lived in south Florida. I always figured it was some "fast" cars from Europe inside

Finally I am able to track it, it is loaded onto Manon, ETA to Halifax is around 4 Aug. Any idea how long it will take to reach Vancouver from that point? Calgary is not that far from us, hoping to be able to see it before the end of Aug.

It only took mine about 10 days to get from Halifax to Vancouver, however, it then took a week to get from Annacis Island to the dealer. I'd say you'll have a pretty good chance of getting it in the last week of August.

You can try to ask your dealer to "rush" it. Mine landed in Halifax july 8th and got to dealer on the 14th after I pleaded to get it ASAP... Took delivery on the 17th... They can truck the car instead of train but I don't know if possible to Vancouver...

Your car will likely sit at the port for 5-7 days (E63 seems to take longer than C63 at the VPC). Then it is a 10-14 journey on the rails to Van depending on if it takes the northern or southern route. It will probably sit in the railyard for up to 7 days before getting unloaded and trucked to your dealer. Then a couple days for PDI.

You might see it the last few days of August. Send me your VIN when it gets to Halifax and I can track it for you on CN Rail.

Long trip

I just came back from around trip NYC to Toronto. 9.5 hours each way.
Traffic was bad during some part of the trip. Having this driver assistance & all the horse power. I don't remember taking 5 hour driving was so pleasurable... The car drove itself during bumper to bumper traffic range from 15-35 MPH to 45-65 MPG. When the lane was open. Pass slower traffic with just like counting 1 to 6 done. So much pickup . But the driving RANGE was a little tight 375 miles/ tank full..

Doesn't sound too bad but how often was your right foot embedded in the floor boards?

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
I generally get around 425 miles or more to a tank which I consider great compared to my 2013 CTS-V I got rid of for this car which was filled up every 225 miles or so. But yes these cars are very comfortable to drive in.
