Cool AMG Academy in Austin next week?

So I'm getting pretty pumped about this event next week. I'm only doing the 1 day basic on the friday, but who else is going to be in attendance? Have you guys been to this track before? I was there for the inaugural US Grand Prix a couple of years back and it's an amazing track. Can't wait to actually get a go on it

Was at the COTA on Thursday for the course and it was phenomenal both in how professionally it was run and the amount of new steel they brought to the event. Should be on everyone's bucket list......

Yah, I had an amazing time. I only wished I had followed X's advice and done the advanced course also. I have taken a few other driving courses in my time, and this one was definitely fun, but I felt like I needed to get pushed a little harder.

Even though they didn't have the E63S's (only regular E63s) I did enjoy pushing the CLS63S around the track, but nothing can really beat putting your foot down in those SLS on that back straight.

I am a little disappointed at my performance in the autocross event. I was in the 28s during my practice runs, but the car I was assigned for the timed portion was definitely not up to snuff. Brakes were lacking, tires were shot, etc. I know, I know excuses, excuses, but dammit, that AMG racing helmet could of been mine!

All that said I'm most certainly thinking of signing up for the advanced course next year at COTA again. I've done a course at Laguna Seca before, but there's something about an active F1 track that really makes it extra special.
