How to reset throttle

I'm not liking this throttle delay particularly in s, s+

I can stomp on the throttle from a rolling stop and it can take a second to respond... A reset should take care of this

What's the order of things I have to do?

you car try to do 2 thing via STAR

1. Reset all transmission adaptations
2. Reset throttle actuation

If you dont have access to STAR a battery disconnect for an hours or two may reset it.

Have you considered getting a Sprintbooster? I have one in my C55 and it makes the world of difference. Throttle much more responsive and linear. Just a thought.

Are you sure? The SB USA site seems to indicate that is available for 2014 E-Class including AMG.

http://www.sprintboosterusa.com/c-408-at.aspx

Just for clarity, did you call them and is their site wrong? If so, did they indicate whether they would be adding one in the future for the '14 E63?

Please keep us updated if you do decide to get the sprint booster. I've experienced this in a few cars, most recently the q7 tdi. It drove me crazy, but I never looked at the sprintbooster and was holding out hope that GIAC would write a tdi program. Am I also wrong to assume that any software tune, weistac, renntech, alpha, etc, would also fix this problem??

I wonder how hard it is to access the connection around the gas pedal? I have not noticed anything there, maybe its on the other side of the firewall. If this thing works it's probably worth it, I'm not crazy about that lag either. Is so nice to have the nice crisp response when I drive my 454 Chevy with dual quads and non drive by wire setup.

My S4 is one of Audi's earlier drive by wire applications, and sure it's got some turbo lag, but none of this artificial lag. But it's had an APR tune for so long, I don't remember what it felt like before. If one's paying 110 plus for a car, the drive by wire can and should be unnoticeable

I have installed a SB in three cars (after doing my C55, I had two friends ask if I would install one in their cars (one was a 535 and the other a Q7). None were difficult (maybe 15-20 minute per car). Have not done an E63, so I can't say for sure. I doubt it would be hard though.

I will say this. Had I not installed the SB I doubt I'd still have my C55. Could not stand the throttle lag and "light switch" accelerator peddle. The SB totally transformed the car. No it does not add any hp or tq, but it transforms the throttle response.

I hear that about having a cable control your linkage and instant blip of the throttle.. I think we need some pics of the BB Chevy and what its in. What size carbs?

Here is some good readings about the SB, a lot of the w212 non amg guys use it and there is many readings over there if you search it. https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...t-booster.html
