I was wondering if anyone had idea what parts are involved in the lane departure warning vibration.

I'm asking because I really dislike the steering wheel in my 2010 E63 and I'd like to replace it with a nice - three spoke steering wheel from a 2011, 2012 model

The ones I found on ebay dont make any mention whether they have that feature only that they match my mode year.

I was hoping the vibration is sent thru the steering column and not in the steering wheel itself but I don't know.

Anyone that can help ?
Maybe if someone knew which parts are replaced if the lane departure warning fails ...

2189062000 - wheel vibration motor
2128603802 - air bag (might be the same)
2125404610 - harness to camera on the windshield
2125403235 - another harness to the module

2049017801 - rain and light sensor (might be standard on all cars)

just a quick list of parts in the 'lane assist' feature.

my car has the lane departure warning - hence - the question on whether I would keep it with a different steering wheel.

Yes,

1724606303 - 3 Spoke wheel with lane departure. EPC shows that the air bag might be different but I am not entirely sure.
