Prices are starting to drop.

I've been looking for about a month for a premium used example of an S model. Just saw a 2014 "S" with about 2600 miles for $89,900. This was at a dealership.I'd love to get one closer to $85,000. I think that as the 2015's start trickling in, this will be doable. I'd love to hear what people paid for their used 2014's, or conversely, what people sold their cars for.

Paid $92k for a Msrp 106k "used" S with 85 miles... Started at $97k asking... This was back in march

Wait long enough and prices will always drop...

If you wait too long the car might be gone. Not many 14's with low miles for sale since they are still new so if your thinking its the one just pull the trigger. If it goes and you don't want to spend on a 15 you'll be kicking yourself.

There will be more E63S on the used market soon. So if you have a target price and not in a hurry to buy I would say wait. Ideally around the end of the year you should see good deals popping up.

Plus they will have CPO warranty.... Under 7500 miles is a good range I would think

I agree completely. I'm in no rush. But I'm ready to pull the trigger if it happens. Just verified %1.75 money from my bank, with auto withdrawal.

Big discounts come to the persistent. Your discount was $14K which outstanding on a car with 85 miles. With dealer discount and fleet money, mine will be about $12K on an ordered car. Bottom line: shop around and approach as many dealers as possible if you want a discount. And avoid the salesmen. Go right for the sales managers or GMs who care very much about selling out their AMG allocations as opposed to salespeople who want to make as much commission on every deal. I can't count the number of salespeople who blustered that everyone buys the E63 S at sticker or maybe $1k off. Complete nonsense.

I just ordered a 15 e63s. list is 108,500. They gave me 7% off and USAA members get 3500 off on all e class models.

I thought was a pretty good deal. car will be in mid November.

That is an excellent deal. 7% off is invoice. I did a little better that that. And I can add the fleet discount to that (United Airlines Premier member for me). Be sure when you car comes in to check with your dealer to see if manufacturer to dealer money during the holiday promotion is more than your $3500 USAA fleet discount. I believe it was $4K last year on E Class. If so, take that instead of the fleet money.

Are you leasing or buying?

Appreciate the heads up on that, thanks,

I am buying, not sure how you can lease a car like this, I bought a c63 507 through ED, took delivery in April, drove it 6500 miles and trading it in for this car. I actually didn't do bad at all on the trade in since I bought the other car through ED. I am pretty stoked to get this car. I caught the first 15 they ordered right before the dealer specs got locked in, so they changed to my ordered car specs which is getting build first week of October. Timed it perfect,

Sounds like you hit the build just right.

MB's money factors to lease this car are standard rate. But you can reduce the MF by .0080 using a single pay lease or by .0070 using 10 multiple security deposits (MSDs) in states that allow them. With those MF reductions, the lease prices are a bit more reasonable.

I am still on the fence between buying and leasing.

...and don't be afraid of buying out of state like I did.

I bought from a Benz dealer and dealt only with the sales manager as mentioned above.

As we approach 2015, $85k is a good price for a used 2014 E63S

+1 on price

And with respect to to dealing with sales people, when I told the sales person at the dealer I'm getting the car from my price proposal, which was to match an out-of-state dealer, the salesperson laughed at me and said no one would ever sell a Mercedes E 63 S for that price and that all of the dealership's customers had paid sticker or no more than $1000 off the sticker for the car. In response I told him that if he wouldn't take the offer to his manager and match it we had nothing to talk about. And then his sales manager did match it. Sales manager told me they needed volume as well as margin. I had taken the offer to many dealers in the New York City area and none would match it except the dealer I got the card from.

Bottom line: Mercedes dealers want to sell out their full AMG allocation if they want to keep it or get more of them. That is something the sales managers care about a lot more than the individual sales people.

Only small dealers that don't get many AMG's will sell at any price to move them so they can get more. The larger dealers get what they need and MB of Manhattan can do whatever they want because they are Mercedes owner store not privately owned.

So can somebody explain a little bit more the allocation process?
Does it mean a MB dealership will have to sell their stock '14 E63 in order to get allocation for '15 E63? Is there a time period involved like if the car has been sitting for more than 1 year they won't get any new AMG allocation for the class?

I think it has to do with how many cars they sell in general. The dealers that sell more cars get more cars.

Actually the best deal I got was from a high volume Florida dealership. The NY area dealer who matched it is a medium to high volume dealership.

I would never expect a good deal at MB of Manhattan. Isn't that a company store?

When I was shopping locally no stealer was willing to part with more than about $3k from Msrp and finally my friend convinced me to look for a lightly used one on autotrader.

The funny thing is these stealers all called me two weeks later to lower their prices and inquire as to whether I ended up finding a car, when I told them what I was getting it for they all got much more aggressive but still couldn't match my deal. I hate the car buying experience

But company car stores, such as BMW of Manhattan for example, generally do not give killer cheap deals in part out of fear of offending other dealers of the brand. The worst deals are at company car stores.

just purchased

2014 E63S with $106k sticker which was CPO and with 5k miles for $89k. Bought out of state from the salesperson that picked up the phone when I called. Added 2 years CPO for unlimited mileage warranty through 12/31/2020.

Had 2 E55's before and after a stint in a BMW 1M, glad to be back with AMG.

The car is exactly like I would have ordered it.

Congratulations. That is an excellent deal.

What did you not like about the 1M? There was one on her recent rally I ran with AMG of the Northeast and it had drivetrain malfunction warnings on a mountain twisties drive. I had them too but mine were expected. My 550xi has the Dinan stage 2 flash without the Dinan intercoolers and the stock intercoolers cannot handle the temperatures produced by the increased turbo boost for long periods of time. But I certainly did not expect an M car to be throwing drivetrain malfunctions when pushed a little bit. None of the AMG's had those and many were tuned.

Hi all - long time fan of site, just never posted. Am close to pulling trigger on ordering 2015 e63s but not sure of the deal. My sales guy is saying he'll get me to invoice - but I have fleet pricing, so not sure that's a great deal. I am in the dc area and am interested to how out of area purchases went and if you found a better deal did you try and have sales guy match? Another issue is I'm leasing and they won't budge from .0245. Which I think is garbage at around 6%. Thanks all!

Simply put, they are raping you. They're raping you on price and on money factor. If you PM me I'll give you some tips and some people to call to get the kind of deal I did.
