Head bolt issue on the 2010 MY
Head light hazing
get a warranty for it, if you don't all ready have one
good luck and have fun, they are a blast to drive. Read the owners manual. I'm still finding out things this amazing car can do.

I just picked up a 2011 like three weeks ago, best purchase I made!
Do you mind saying how much you paid? Just curious to see where I stand.
Check out the thread named "Updated Head Bolt Affected VIN Range Data" if you put your VIN in there, they will tell you if your motor is affected.
And +1 to the getting extended warranty. I am going to be getting mine soon from Erin at MB Santa Rosa. Be prepared to pay a hefty premium on our cars if you don't already have extended warranty.

and im posting in the head bolt page now...
The car came with a 2 year "star certified warranty" which means it covers the power train but not the electronics. I had the option to buy the full warranty but assumed all the electrical bugs had been worked out since 2010
That being said, I'm already having issues with the ipod connectivity. It will find the device, then 30 seconds into a song it will stop, say no device, then find the device again... this is already very annoying and I'm hoping its just a faulty Ipod cable.
and I paid "around" (+) $50k Canadian dollars

Think again about faults. Our cars still have problems that happen to cost lots of $$$$$. 2010's actually have more issues than the 2011. Invest in a good warranty. One major break can cost between 1-7k depending on what it is. Hell, I heard the motors are like 18k!!

Sounds like a bad cable.

Turns out the cable wont charge an ipod Nano,,, so the nano was on low battery and causing the system to malfunction.
From what I('ve read, the cable only charges 12v iphones/ipod. the nano is a 5 v.
not sure if their is a 5 v cable adapter.
anyone know?

The site says that all 2010 and some 2011 have the head bolt issue.

Pretty please with sugar on top before I flip this car backwards, can someone please help me work out this I-phone hook up?
I have an I-phone 4 hook up in the glove. I purchased a new adapter:
When I connect my old Iphone 5, which will now purely serve as an Ipod, it says "device not compatible" on the command.
What am I doing wrong? I connect the two and go to Media right? Also, I notice the the I-Phone isn't charging when I hook it up. I need help!
Thanks.

You may have to update the cars software and maps with new dvd disc update.
