Help me choose:E63 S or CLS 63 S

Hello everyone this is my first post here and I wanted to ask you what should I buy between a E63 AMG S 4MATIC and a CLS 63 AMG S 4MATIC. I like the E class more but I found a few reasons regarding why I can buy one over the other.
CLS over E:
-frame less windows
-better looking
E over CLS:
-better interior
-rear side sunshades
-more space in the front as well as the rear seats
-faster
-bigger trunk
Am I right that both have sun roofs? Please tell me what are your opinions on each of those models and why would you buy one over the other.

How tall/big are you? If over 6' then you might be cramped in the CLS. I'm 6'3" and was hitting my head getting in/out - would get old quickly.

Also you get more bang for your buck with the E.

I do agree the CLS looks great. Also the 2015 CLS has the new nav/electronics system and has been refreshed.

Good luck

Performance is similar. Do you want better looks and more exclusivity (CLS IMHO) or greater practicality (more interior and trunk space -- E63)? It really is that simple at least for me.

For me going with the E63 was a no brainer. I need a roomy 5 seat car and a good sized trunk. If I wanted to go for less room at this price range I would have gotten a lightly used 997 Turbo S.

We know what the pros and cons are between the models, but we have ZERO idea of what you are looking for in a vehicle.

New or used? Makes a difference on the CLS.
What are your intended uses?

Etc.

New. I am 6.3 feet tall. I plan on using it as a daily driver, getting to work, grocery store and holiday trips with my family.

Given your height and your intent to use as a daily driver/grocery getter/taking trips with your whole family, you sound like an E63 buyer.

One of the greatest things about an E is its visability through the back and sides, something a CLS does poorly.

I was surprised to read somewhere the E weighs 250lbs less. That's a big difference. CLS will have better resale and therefore be cheaper to own in the long run despite the higher price in my opinion.

What makes you believe that the CLS will perform better financially over the E?

Typically, I think the stylized models do very poorly over time versus the meat and potatoes model.

I don't know what the selling prices are on the CLS, but I'm seeing average MSRP of ~$106-108K versus $116-120K. And selling prices on the E should be in the $100K range on average.

Specialized / stylized models almost always hold value better, ask anybody in the business. CLS > E, A7 > A6. Yes, you pay about 8K more to get into a CLS but I think 3 yrs down the road you get about 8-10K more back. At worst I think you get all that premium back.

They're much rarer and in many people's eyes viewed as more attractive models.

My 2c: had the opportunity to push the envelope on both cars in AMG Driving Academy.

CLS is not just slower when accelerating but also has longer stopping distance. For better responsiveness one should go with E.

I had the chance to try both and order the one I preferred.

Curious -- why would the CLS be slower?

Frameless windows are eye catchers. literally. Its hard to see the glass in dim light.

From a CLS63 owner I would vote E63.

I purchased the CLS based on the looks and not the practicality. I find myself often wishing I had better visibility and a more interior room. I'm currently looking to add a E63 wagon to my collection to fill that void. Just my 2 cents.

So it looks like I am an E class buyer and currently I am looking forward getting the sedan or the wagon . Today I will test drive them both(E sedan and wagon).
