Canadian emissions vs US

hey guys,

so my dad just bought an Audi S8 and it is a canada spec car, all that is different is the speedometer! we drove a similar car from the US that felt a bit slower!! was wondering at least in terms of Mercedes, if there is anything in the way the cars are specd for canada that would make them feel a bit quicker??

Thanks for any input guys!!

perhpas fuel octane is lower where you live in US? i use 94 up here. if all you have is 90, then 94 will definitely feel different imo.

I may just have found an answer to this.
As I was researching about performance air filters it was said that removing the extra charcoal filter from the air box made the car breathe better and feel more responsive, as they only put this in for emissions purposes and European cars don't have it.
So I open my air box to remove them, only to find out that my canadian car did not have charcoal filters, just the standard paper filters.
So, Canadian cars are faster !!!

you wouldn't feel whatever little HP is sacrificed to the charcoal filters. It may just be in your head.

Agreed that we may not feel it, but it's good for some bragging rights on this internet forum !
