Tire Replacement Suggestions

Have to replace my Pirelli OEM's. If anyone has any suggestions as what to replace those with I would appreciate the input. On my C63 I went thru stacks of Pirelli's then switched to Michelin Pilots however they only seem to sell those in a winter tire which I am not sure I need in Texas.....

Again any input more than appreciated.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport (PSS). I've never heard of any bad review with this tire. They are now also available in the stock 2014 E63 tire sizes as well. Since the rear tire size is relatively new for the PSS, it may take some time for it to trickle into the retail channels.

Thank you for that.

I've been using the Korean tires myself. Kumho's highly recommended by the Vette guys and they were great on my Vette. Put Hankooks on the wifes Lexus and she is a brand name girl and there were no complaints and both tires are always highly rated. I'm getting a screaming deal on Nexen tires for the wifes Lexus so I'll be trying those and possibly put them on the E63 in a few months.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports for sure -- now that they are finally available for the E63 in the OEM staggered sizes.

Cost of Michelin Pilot Super Sports is "chump change" compared to the cost of an E63. Go with the Michelin tires that also have a mileage warranty and are rated the best in test and surveys on tirerack.com.

I am not too impressed with Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The grip on them is not as expected specially while at stop and go.

You are the first person I have heard with a less than stellar opinion of the PSS. What tire do you prefer?

No preference yet.

When I got the car, it was standing with the owner for over a year. Hardly driver (840km only). So when I took it in for inspection and servicing, I was advised to replace the tires. So to be on the safe side, I went with the stock which were the PSS. It's been almost a year since I have changed them. I'll be looking out for alternatives with better grip. The drive, noise from the tires is excellent.

Suggestions?

I've only heard of the Contis and Pirellis coming on the E63 from the factory. I'm not aware of any stock PSSs having been used. As far as suggestions, thePSS is usually the tire of choice, there's even another thread full of excited owners since the PSS is now available in stock sizes.
Otherwise, the PZero seems to be the next best thing...

Tire replacement

I have used Michelin PSS on the last three E wagons, and intend to use them when the Pirelli Zero Nero (stock) wear out. They are great rain tires. I don't think they are now available in the call out sizes for E63 wagon, at least there were no Michelins available in winter tires,k so I have Hakkapalitas.

Thanks all of you. I do appreciate it. I did eventually run the PSS's on my C63 and loved them. The 30,000 mile warranty alone is enough to buy them cuz on that car I reckoned no way any tire could possibly stand up for 30,000. Just ordered a pair.

Again thanks!!!
