Have I gotten used to the power?
Just doesn't seem as quick as day 1.... I also experienced this "phenomenon" with my 2014 e550....
Anyone else? Time for a tune? Lol, first world problems, I know

Haha not a problem at all, you're just getting used to it, and your mind is remembering the capabilities of your car. You remember how much it can take in a turn, or how fast it can accelerate depending on how hard you push the pedal.
If you want to look into it, we sell tons of stuff! Go check it out, we can answer any questions you have and even if you aren't sure, you can definitely put it on a to-buy list!

Tune it. Without question.
Either that or rent a Prius for a week.

LMAO. Seriously? I'm just getting use to mine. The power on tap like that will never get old for me. Of course I'm thinking about tuning it. My wish list is Renntech ECU tune, Renntech down pipes, Renntech lower module ( this will most likely come first since I want to get 20" and lower it like I did with my E350 ).
But honestly, there is not may places to open up or race that kind of beast. don't know why I am afraid to punch it to the floor stock when I'm at a dead stop on full AMG mode. Seeing some video of it getting side ways and I always have my wife and 8 year old daughter in the car so I am constantly hearing my wife say, slow TF down.
But back to reality, I still love the thought of doing the tune according to my wish list and I'll be good to go.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

That's why I don't want to over tune it and get so many more power that is hard to tame.
I don't ever punch it in stock form let alone in its tune form.
I can relate renting a Prius. I got a E350 I take out even amount of times per week so as you can image. That is a world apart experience ( even my wife says the E350 is slow and she hates speed with a capital H ). If I feel the AMG is slow, get back into the E350 and that will get my brain to appreciate the power of the beast.
I feel compel to getting the suspension and wheels finalized first and then gradually moving onto the Renntech exhaust.
What do you guys think?

Careful with the exhaust ... It gets loud... Make sure the wife is on board with the loudness

Yeah, there was a member who bought a Rado down pips and wanted to sell it the next day after it was install because of the loudness.
But as everyone is wondering. Exactly how much louder or how it sounds in person. Believe me, I've been on YouTube and tuner website listening to get that feel that you don't get listening in person. I have plans on just droping by the Renntech Studio City facility to see and listen to its performance and if that is what my wife and daughter can accept.
Thanks for the reminder.

Even with a humble E550 I have that problem...my solution - drive my wife's E350 once a week. It is such a difference.

LOL I don't blame you - that is why I have refrained from driving an AMG. I am not quite ready to drop 100K on a car - and had I driven an AMG I would have ended up with one rather than the E550. The way I look at it - the E550 offers about 70% of the performance of an AMG at 70% of the price. It will never be an AMG but it is still plenty. If I had an AMG I am not sure how many speeding tickets I would have had thus far.....I know my car goes in no time up to 90 - I bet with an AMG 100 plus would feel the same.

Re: the warranty (a completely valid concern), try to discern whether your Service Adviser/Service Manager is laid back when it comes to tuning. I was informed about the Eurocharged tune by my local authorized MB dealer.
It all comes down to luck of the draw really.
When I tuned my Bimmers (had several turbocharged platforms from '07 to '13), I played it safe and went with Dinan (great warranty that matches BMW warranty; my dealer was an authorized Dinan retailer). When BMW later released their BMW M Performance products, I went with those.
Both of those options were more conservative. However, they still delivered the enhanced performance I was looking for. Dinan gets bashed for being expensive (and for not being aggressive enough) but their R&D is on another level. When I had a hairline crack in my Dinan high-capacity oil cooler, Dinan sent me a brand new oil cooler next-day air (free of charge) and then paid my dealer the thousands of dollars it required to uninstall the faulty cooler and install the replacement. 0 hassle and $0 out-of-pocket cost.
I'm glad I went with the "safer" options because BMW really fought back against tuners (particularly the piggyback tuners) after the N54-equipped E9X 335i was released. For example, dealers starting marking ECU/DMEs with paint/markers so that they could "catch" those installing piggyback tunes.

You're just used to it, it sucks I know haha!
I rented a mustang when I traveled for a week here recently. I used to own a mustang and I love it. I thought it was quick. After getting used to my AMG, this 2014 stang GT was a turd. I *****ed about it the whole time I was away haha! I kept trying to drive it like my AMG, expecting it to be exactly where I wanted right when I thought about it and always yelling "lets goooooo turd! I should have been past this semi already!"

Can't disagree with solidgranite....the day sdg gets used to the power of his 2014 911 turbo is the day I start modding and riding crotch rockets ...
