Where do I get/find this?

Where do I get/find this?-rear-cargo-shelf.jpg

I found this rear cargo shelf in a Youtube review for the 2011 e63. I cannot seem to find it at mbusa.com under accessories. Anybody know anything on this? Is it available in NA? It looks like the underside of my trunk deck has slots for this to be installed. I do have the split fold down rear seats. I think this sits right between the two release handles for the rear seats.

I imagine it is an add-on kit. any idea on cost? Like $12G !! LOL

Not that this is something I will die without, but I can see a couple of uses for it.

It is called the Mercedes Comfort Box and easily installs and is removed with a few simple hand latches in existing spots already in the upper trunk.
It is available on a new vehicle as ordered equipment or can be bought from any dealer.
The MB part number is Part# A21268000109051.
List is $290.
If you are a little patient, it can be had for substantially less. I got one NIB from a MB dealer on Ebay for @ $167 shipped.

Good luck and here is a video of it's function:

Here are the features, fitment and details from MB:

Genuine Mercedes-Benz

Comfort Box

2010-2015 E-Class Sedan W212

2011-2015 CLS-Class C218

E-Class/CLS: Not applicable with Code 811 - Bang & Olufsen Sound System

The Comfort Box provides a practical and isolated storage area for your personal items while in trunk. While not in use, the Comfort Box easily folds up to give you maximum space of the trunk.

Part# A21268000109051

Final Update

I found it new on Ebay for $200 bucks shipped and no tax. Stealer wanted $295 + tax and wouldnt budge. Pleeeeease. Dummy's.

I just installed it in about 30 seconds! It is very cool.

If you dont have one you should get one. Bang for the buck is high on this.

Btw, I also picked up the cargo net for about $50 and it is also pretty cool. Between both items, No more bottles of booze flying around in my trunk!! 😎😎

Congrats!

Mine sits in a box awaiting a car. My build date is late June.

Just go to flea bay and enter "Mercedes Comfort Box" and be patient for a few weeks. Here is one that is like new in an opened box for US $130 plus shipping from Florida:

One moe update

One small design flaw:

The designers of this apparently did not consider the acceleration capability of the E63. Likely is perfect for other E class models.

Yesterday I had about 10 pounds (box is rated for 20 pounds) in it. After driving around for the afternoon, I got home to unload it. I opened the trunk and the drawer was extended fully toaward rear bumper. It should have remained in the detented position (pushed in).

Step on the gas hard enough with any weight in the box and it will slide toward the rear.

It didnt cause any issue, but its not ideal either.

Just reporting here what I learned about this feature.
