Getting her wrapped bow to stern in Xpel Ultimate...
Its hard to find a daily driver thats faster than an E63 wagon, but there it is.
I'm kinda sorta excited.

I should warn those that haven't: It's really difficult to buy a sports car if an E63 is your daily driver.
Peter, I *hate* paying MSRP... and the dealer had several TTs's... so I feel like I did very well

There's been an outbreak of 911s' on here lately -- hopefully will spread around but not keeping my fingers crossed.
Thirdly, per your quote, how do you figure? A sports car is the complete opposite of what the E63 is, it should be pretty easy to pick out a few of those. We had a thread on this some weeks back.
Now, if you define a sports car as any two-door car that goes like stink, then yeah I get your point...

First of all, congrats.

OK... the difficulty I experienced choosing a car... I sat in or test drove 8 or 9 cars and they all ended up being compared with my wagon in some way. Some weren't even close *cough*Aston Martin*cough*, but the following were:
New Z06- I had an C6 Z06 that I just sold that I wasnt driving anymore. Too... crude and plastic? Sounds snooty, but there it is. The new one is a 10/10 for a domestic car. Caddilac has nothing on the new Z06 with the optional 3lz leather package. But it would be a 6/10 for a luxury German car and is nowhere near as nice as my E63 interior. Also, its RWD, which means its a 6-7 month car for me. Also, thats a really noticeable car. Even in gray or white or blue, it REALLY stands out. And I have ZERO desire to stand out.
Jag F-type convertible (AWD)- The V6 wasnt powerful enough, but with the V8, the chassis didnt quite seem ready for the power when compared to the E63. And holy $%@# this car is loud. There is no reason the car should pop that much on decel. Its just way over the top. The interior was nice, but only adequate compared to the E63.
Mercedes AMG GT-S- Love the interior. Very well done. But with the options I wanted, this was a $170k car. To it's credit, it sounded great... but almost just like the E63 wagon. They really sound very very close. This would also have to be a 6-7 month car.
Porsche 911 GTS- Love the interior. LOVE the sound. Who knew an H6 could sound that good. But dare I call it anemic? 430hp, but only 325lbft. If you drive an E63 every day, this feels strangely gutless. Could I live with it? Sure. Its even manageable as a year-round car with the PDK and Adaptive Cruise. Back seats (sorta, but its for a 4-yr old) and relatively reliable too. But $150k is a lot for a convertible if it doesn't have midrange torque like the E63.
911 TTS- Power, interior, low-key, reliable, year round, back seat, adaptive cruise, ventilated seats, everything I am used to in the E63... except the SOUND! Jeez. Its not fatal, but Im used to the big-block refined rumble form the wagon. The GTS sounded great. This thing sounds like a 560hp vacuum cleaner. But thats the only problem, and some day I'll buy an exhaust system that has the right sound.

I'm kinda sorta green with envy! Why no convertible P-car?
Do you mean the AMG GT-S didn't feel like a $170K should or you spent less than that on your Turbo S?!
WRT to the Aston, did you check out both the Vantage or Vanquish? Their center console and flip-up navi look like disasters, but isn't everything else covered in plush leather?

The 991 TTS is 1 year old with 5k miles. I paid mid $150's, original sticker being 215.
