Raced a tuned C63 and F10 M5
At a desserted location...two lanes to begin with, C63 is in front of me with his buddy in the F10 M5 next to him. I of course have no idea when it's about to go down but I quickly find out when they start moving, so I join the fray too.
Started from around 10mph in 1st gear. They both got the jump on me, which is fair enough, but spookily it was more or less dead level from like....60mph onwards. Granted my tranny is playing up and the 2nd-3rd shift is getting pretty bad now (it's not a seemlessly fast shift (like 3rd-4th) and it take a split second then jerks into gear), once we were in the taller gears, the three of us just stayed in the exact same locations.
At around 140-ish, I was ever so slowly starting to close the gap on the C63 but the M5 was staying strong. I was expecting to get royally walked by the M5, but to my surprise (a nice surprise, may I add) it never happened. TBH I was expecting to get walked by the C63, given how much I've heard they're meant to be the fastest of the 6.2l motor cars.
Before the main race, we had a few skirmishes and I could tell the car was at least de-catted....and judging by how many cars Eurocharged i Watford have tuned in London, I wouldn't be surprised if they did their decat and map on it.
Anyhoo, just thought I'd share. I was quite pleased with the result. I gotta say, as much as i hate the flat spot this car has between 60-80mph and 100-120mph, at the top end of each gear, the car really comes on strong. I wonder if that rear diffuser and revozport kit is helping it to cut through the air a little easier at high speed too
Makes me really want a set of RHD long tubes and custom tune now (and while I'm at it, getting that damn tranny shift shorted out too!)

Yeah I need one....but only worth doing with a pair of long tubes and those are hard to come by in this country.
I used to have an E55. I have an E63 now (M156).

That's exactly what I was expecting tbh.
Only thing I can suggest is that he might have had a fully loaded car with fat people weighing 100kg each perhaps? Either that or my aero parts and lowered set up has given better aerodynamics at high speed... i have no idea how that happened. I've seen that car around though. I'm bound to encounter it again at some point.
lol the same guy once rolled past me a couple months back and complimented the car etc and asked to race...i declined and said i only have the 6.2l motor, not the turbo. He was nice enough to give me thumbs up and drive off.

Faz, care to recommend a supplier?
I tried ringing them last night but couldn't get through. I must not understand the dialling code syntax. They also haven't replied to my email.
