Sounds bad *** but I wonder if it'd be too loud for me personally. I have res delete + cattted DPs which I feel is perfect for me.
Can you provide a link to that thread, i searched with no luck.

I'm fairly happy with the the exhaust note after removing the resonator, but I'm curious how the exhaust would sound with both resonator+mufflers removed. The F10 M5 sounds pretty good with the mufflers removed. In fact, there are a few companies selling muffler delete pipes for the F10 M5.

Everyone that has removed their resonators on the m157 motor are you guys tuned or stock? Just curious if at all if it feels any more or less sluggish in the bottom end after removing the resos with straight pipes as I did so on my 2012 jeep srt8 and I did lose back pressure and low end immediately (so I reversed it and went back to stock).

Mine is not tuned(yet) and i felt no loss of power/torque whatsoever.

The turbos should be creating all the back pressure you'll ever need. I doubt anyone with the M157 has ever noticed a loss in power from any exhaust upgrade.

2013 E63 with P30 Performance package
I just removed the resonator on my 2013 two days ago. Sounds great, no drone. Didn't feel any lost of torque. My car is stock with P30.

I would be wary about doing a muffler delete, haven't heard anyone doing it, wouldn't that result in loss of power?...just go with resonator delete, I love how it sounds and think its just right...anyone who drives behind me who I talk to afterwards say the car sounds like a beast..

Sooo update on this thread, did a muffler delete AND WOW!!!!!! Really wakes the sound of the car up, sounds so mean now! Left the resonator in, replaced the mufflers with two straight pipes. I'll try to get one of my friends with a decent camera so i can get some sound footage for you guys! Best mod ever for 200 bucks

Bet it drones like crazy. Some guys claim that Renntech mufflers drone. Can't even imagine what removing the mufflers do.

I can't for the life of me imagine touching the exhaust on my AMG, I did not buy a AMG to have it sound like a truck.

little bit of drone, not too bad. I like it, I am a young person though ahah someone like my dad probably wouldnt care for it too much. I did a muffler delete with straight pipes and left the resonator in! I love the new sound on start up, cold starts are insane now! My favorite mod ive done for 200 bucks. Drove with my friends F10 M5 with an RPI exhaust that he paid over 3-4k for im sure and this sounds just as good!

I did the same with my E550 and now you can hear the V8 roar now with occasional loud pops. I agree best mod for under $200 vs spending $3-4K for an exhaust to achieve the same exhaust notes. Can you post up a vid. Would love to hear it.

Can you post video of sound, I just did decatted down pipes and appreciated the slight turbo spool and throatier sound....but considering doing muffler or resonator delete.

will try to post a video later this week! i love this mod, with the tune it makes the exhaust sound amazing!!! i am younger and dont mind the drone, it sounds mean though under rev! only thing i worry about is that my phone wont be able to capture the true sound of the video! ill try my best though. I have muffler delete with the res still in. still deciding if i wanna take that out or not

Couldn't find a more suitable thread to ask a few lame questions, maybe someone with our exhaust systems and exhausts knowledge in general can answer?

Input data: W212 E63S RWD.
Needs: increase the volume of exhaust sound a bit (i.e. not cat-less) keeping AMG growl.

Ideas/Questions:
1) Install RADO down-pipes with "sport" cats. According to RADO no CEL should appear, ever. Don't know if that's true in reality (i.e. after some decent mileage) or not. I don't want to go with ECU tuning just yet (until the warranty is over).
2) Now the question is whether with 1-cat solution from RADO the OEM resonator will eventually die?
3) If the answer to (2) above is YES, then my idea would be installing an H-Pipe from Supersprint afterwards the RADO catted down-pipes, keeping the OEM mufflers. However, would the mufflers then eventually die (i.e. burn through)?
