Thinking about pulling the trigger on a 2016 Wagon, Color choice now

I'm on the fence about Red with a brown interior or Blue with a grey interior. I know, two totally different combinations. I think the red looks pretty great but I'm nervous I may get tired of the color and it will be more of a cop magnet. What say all of you who have these colors? I think the Lunar Blue looks very clean and sharp and probably a little more conservative than the Red. Just don't want to do something I'm going to regret. The only options I plan on getting are the driver assistance package and the laminated glass and the forged twin 5 spoke wheels. I wonder if those are less prone to bending on bumps than the 10 spoke wheels or if there is any difference. I guess I just want to try something different, I currently have the 10 spoke wheels. I think I'll stick to the silver wheels, the black show scratches and imperfections too much.

I agree with Peter regarding the low regrets colours. My 2016 E63s wagon is diamond white with beige interior - I do not regret the choice it's a great combination. It looks wonderful in the sun.

I have the 2012 Diamond White and IMPO, it rocks with black interior.

The Cardinal red is a pretty cool color, but it clashes with the red calipers IMHO. Looks fine with the ($$$) carbon ceramic calipers though.

I think for me the most sensible choice would be the Lunar Blue with the gray interior. There is no upcharge on that interior color, it is cool in the hot weather and looks great with the wood trim. I think the red calipers with the blue looks great too. I want something different, I've had a lot of black cars and my new VW TDI is black. Not really crazy about the White and my current one is Silver so I want something different from that.

Of those 2, I would choose the blue. If the red was more of a Viper/Ferrari type red, then I would choose red. Mercedes red has too much of a candy tint to it.

Not really a fond of the blue either. If you are trying to be different, I would maybe try Polar white or Selenite Grey which are not very common.

2015 E63S AMG & 2013 GLK350
I chose Cardinal red to stand out from the sea of white, black, and silver/grey Mercedes on the road, and with that Lunar blue is also an excellent choice. The red is not much of a cop magnet, my car is loud (no resonator/mufflers) and cops still look right past it when they hear it lol

Don't think you could go wrong with either, I love the way Cardinal red looks though to the point where I bought a second MB in that color

Yes, that Red is a sharp looking color and different, I really like Red cars. That with a nice brown designo interior would be a sharp combination with the distronic and the Bang olfusion I'd be all set, that may be the way to go, might as well do it up right if I'm going to spend this kind of money and have to wait for an order.

Glad you chimed in about the Red, ya, I think I will get the Red. I don't think I'll get sick of it and with the black wheels it looks sharp. As a added plus maybe the old people in Florida are less likely to T bone me as the car is so bright and visible. Black they may not see with their cataracts. So, Red, brown leather, Black wheels, Bang and Olfuson, distronic, laminated glass and that should do the trick. Thinking about the open pore wood but I don't see that on the MB site anymore, hopefully it is still available, I'm sick of the burl wood.

That looks like a nice combo - you could always get the black wood too. I think that you new ride bags fora trim.

Having trouble working a deal on the trade in of my 2012, man do these cars depreciate, they are talking like 50 grand on a trade of my 2012, that's too much of a hit, I was thinking more like at least 58 or so. My plans are kind of on hold right now until I get to Florida and check with the dealers there, I might be able to do a lot better on a trade there. Either that or wait for a 2017 which might not be a bad idea either.

Thanks for posting the side by side pictures SD, that confirms to me that I really do like the red better, I really want my next car to have some bling to it and I do like that shade of red. Lets hope it's available with the 2017's and they don't scrap that color. My plans have really gravitated more towards waiting right now. Like the saying goes, good things come to those who wait as tempting as it is to get a red 2016 wagon now. The 2017's are just going to drive so much better with much improved Chassis, not saying the current generation is bad, just the '17's will be that much better as was proven with my VW experience when they switched to the MQB Architecture.

Anytime. I love the cardinal red and I struggled between that and the lunar blue when I chose.
