2016 e63s overheated tranny?
Is it possible to overheat the tranny fluid? Was doing some serious backroad driving, shifting very aggressively and when 2nd gear shifted to 3rd it hesitated for a fraction of a second and a orange light quickly came on the dash near the tachometer and went away.
My buddy with a gtr was doing donuts in the snow this winter, received the same light. So maybe it's the wet clutches and excessive heat from shifting.
Even though these temps won't matter, here's some little info of how hard I was going.
Outside temp: 80
Engine oil temp: 233
Coolant temp: 195

The trans on these cars suck. They are horrible. It's the only limiting factor on these cars, the trans holds this engine back so much. My car when in S+ at WOT shifts very harshly on the 2-3 up-shift, like jarring/shaking up-shifts. I am being told this is normal, but every-time it feels like the trans is being ripped apart...

There are various other high performance cars in the same price range as these AMGs, and their tans does not jerk like a piece of **** about to break on 2-3 up-shifts on WOT runs. Most people would say this is very abnormal...

I'm not sure what you mean by "comfort shifting"... Lol are you saying I should expect a harsh thud and jerk on 2-3 up-shifts, and on no other up-shifts only b/c this is the way all AMG trans are supposed to be?

I am tuned, but my car has been doing this from stock and day one of owning it. I bought the car used with 17K miles in Nov 2015. I have taken it to the dealer twice and they always tell me it's normal... kinda hard to believe.

It's a clunky trans and I made Benz buyback two brand new e550's over this issue in 2014
My mct clunks from time to time but only when aggressively braking while auto downshifting in s or s+
Those with clunks up or down pretty much can't 100% dial them out with software or adaptations
Sux but Amg and Benz aren't too worried about it obviously as evidenced by the countless threads in clunky shifts
