new owner 2016 e63s
Well I bought a new, 2016 e63s this weekend. I am not new to AMG. I have owned 2 CLA45s, a W205 C63s, a W204 C63 507 and now this E63S. have truly become an AMG lover the past couple of years.
This is definitely the biggest car I have ever owned and the furthest away from a sports car. I think I am still adjusting. I wanted one car that fulfilled all of my needs and this seemed to be it. I am down to one vehicle now, and I plan to drive this a few years until the warranty expires. I was a little nervous about buying the old platform, with the new one right around the corner, but i haven't had the best luck with buying all new platforms, so I went ahead with the tried and true, soon to be out of date, platform.
Anyway, it is a pretty amazing machine, but since I only had 8 miles I am observing the engine break in.
I got designo white exterior with black multispoke wheels, red brakes and the interior has Designo white seats with black dash and piano trim. I figured I might as well go a little flashy since its a more conservative looking car than what I am used to. the entire car is white, black and silver inside and out.
I don't mean to sound like I am unsure or have buyers remorse. I definitely like this car way above a BMW M5 or Audi anything. It is just different and I am adjusting to it still. All of my other cars have been smaller and sportier.
I have noticed that the really annoying kids that constantly want to race are not noticing me anymore. I guess that's a plus. I hated that.

Congrats. I am new to the brand as well and preferred the E to the M5.. The E is quite fast but sloppier than the baby bro C. It makes up in other ways though..

It's probably quite the opposite about the "kids" not noticing the E. The kids notice, they just don't want their *** handed to the.
I usually intimidate kids with my exhaust note.

Indeed, the "kids" wanting to race are usually more informed than the general public about what type of car it is and what it is capable of.

Nice car!
When I first got the e, it felt a little awkward to me as well. I was so used to smaller performance cars like yourself. But the power is addicting. Also you can't compare the comfort of the e vs the c. Even in the w205 platform, the c does not feel as refine as my e.

Very nice. Congrats and enjoy!
One thing I would do that you may have already planned, is to get a 30% tint on all windows. Do that and you move from very nice to bad*ss!!
Cheers.

Thanks guys. I'm loving the car. I think I'm over smaller cars now. The combination of comfort, safety and performance is pretty ideal. Another advantage of a bigger, more mature car is better forum mates!

What did you think of the cla45? If the a45 were available here, I'd scoop one up. Wouldnt mind having an overpowered 4cyl amg 👌

The porcelain interior is a bit high maintenance if you wear jeans a lot
