Blacked out wagon

I took my car to my buddy's vinyl shop in Tampa last week and him wrap the silver or chrome pieces on the car. For subtle changes, they really changed the look of the car.
The car has a Renntech spoiler, shaved and painted OEM black and a Renntech cf diffuser not painted

That looks very nice...very nice. Having a black wagon as well I wondered what all black would look like. If you get a chance could you post a few more pictures of the Renntech spoiler? That is on our list and I am trying to get a sense of how it looks on the car. With our car being frozen black I was not sure if the spoiler would need to be prepped or painted. The car looks great (what do you mean by shaved and painted).

Here ya go!
Car has been debadged, thats the first thing.
But I had the wing painted, I didn't want the spoiler to look aftermarket. Painting it really helps it blend. Only thing is, Renntech has there logo underneath the clear coat, so if you paint over it, there will be a 'bubble.' I had the body shop sand the renntech logo off the spoiler (there is one on top and another underneath) before painting.

Thanks for all of the great pictures. We used the xpel stealth paint protection film on the entire wagon, so our factory black now appears to be matte. The one area that the xpel does not work is on the compound curve of the standard spoiler. No matter what we do it seems that it start peeling. I am sure that if I wanted to have a seem on the edge it would work better but there is not one seem on the car so we are trying not to go down that road. Thus, the idea of using the renntech spoiler. But given the situation, I feel that wrapping the new spoiler would be as much of an issue, and I am not sure that the naked weave of the CF would work with the Matte look. Thanks for taking the time to take those pictures! It surely looks awesome!!!

I think I would add back the emblems, but have them wrapped in carbon fiber to keep that stealth look.

I get what you're saying I personally like the no badge look. Plus, with no badges, most people have no idea what it is. Oh its JUST a wagon

Hugely subjective, but I like the fact that no one knows what it is. Most people in the know, actually know
The rest.....Who cares.

Either way, exactly how I would do a black wagon.

Good stuff

Agreed, way to subjective. Those emblem removal threads spiral out of control, haha. Definitely dont want that here.

Your car looks setup perfectly - love the spoiler setup on the front and back.

So to the OP, I hear ya. Go with what you like. I'm not a fan of the shiny emblems on the black cars either. My car is Iridium silver so they kind of blend in, which is why i thought carbon wrap might work. Enjoy!

Looks good! The window trim, especially on wagons, take up quite a large surface area of the car, so it really cleans things up once they're blacked out.

I have been searching for a high quality emblem supplier as I would love to black them out or get them wrapped or created in Carbon. Does anyone have vendor that provides good quality. All the ones that I have ordered have been expensive plastic.
