their website claims 22whp / 12 wtrq for $2,250... meh get a meth kit and make way more power, or get upd spacer kit as it made similar gains for almost $2K less

thats not the point shardul. i decide want I want to buy!
I have another problem that the stock tubes get contracted when you have Upgrade turbocharger. Brabus tested it. So my first point is to change Them Because rk kit seems long producing time.

i wouldnt worry about stock tubes restricting hp as precision/ pureturbos just made 840whp with stock tubes
also ams intake box flexes and sucks in on the dyno as well (seen it) but still makes power

Do the rubber couplers stretch over the oval intake scoop ok? If so would I need to order two additional 3" couplers as the kit only comes with two?
Thanks Jules

Each tube comes with 2 couplers. 2 tubes = 4 couplers. They fit perfectly on the oval intake scope, but you will have to put that end of the tubing in a vice to squeeze it until its oval as well. On the airbox end you will need a 3" hose clamp for each side.

would combining the spectre tubes with a pair of high flow air filters like AFE pro dry be worth any gains?

anyone who know a bigger spectre performance hose?? 3" seems too small if you compare with stock?

Spectre intake tubes will not suck in theres no way for that to happen. As you can see from my pic above the tubes come with enough material to leave them contracted making them much larger than the stock tubes. You'll also need to trim a bit off them to fit. Been running this setup on my current 63 and my old 550 with no issues whatsoever. I also dremeled out the plastic fins in the air boxes (pliers then dremeled off) as well as the blockages in the pathway into the intake tubes located on the bumper/grille. Not sure of the gains but iat stays about 15 above ambient so must not be hurting.

I just measured the stock compared to spectre. Stock is MAYBE 1/8" larger if that. I dont think there's that much pressure through those hoses is there?

The OEM intake tube is also approx 3inch albeit squashed into an oval shape at the front section. Therefore no real dimensional loss / gain versus the Spectre. But would argue the Spectre due to its more rigid material aids airflow more efficiently.

But better (not sure how much), if it's at least not smaller than stock

I'm sure AMS and others that have the awesome tools to see the actual pressure in the hoses could tell us but I bet its not much unless going 100+mph. The inlet size on the air box is kind of an oval 3" wide and 2.5" tall then the snorkel piece outlet leading to the air box inlet is oval 4" wide and 2" tall. Just averaging those gives 2.875 stock crappy mesh vent is a tad over 3". You guys think going to 4 inch would lessen velocity? Are the stock tubes made from mesh to actually heat up the air for those super cold weather spots not anywhere texas?

I see in your Signature you have some Aero mods Splitter/diffuser did they help at all that you could tell? Is your car lowered? Bad *** setup!
