About to buy 2014 E63S
Hi all,
I'm contemplating getting a 9/2014 E63S 4Matic Sedan and I need your opinion on the deal and what to look for.
It's a 2nd owner 80,000Km (50,000miles) car that was never tuned and still has about half a year of factory warranty. Asking price is $57,000USD.
The car wasn't kept in a garage and was used as a daily driver therefore it isn't mint. Interestingly, it has a higher mileage than my 2000 E55.
The alcantara wheel was already replaced.
It has no CCBs which I don't mind but it has B&O which is a nice to have option.
I drove it and looked specifically for MCT issues.. didn't find any except for the Comfort mode throttle lag which I understood is normal.. ?
Other than that no vibration, no rattles, everything worked well.
We will take it to my AMG workshop for diagnostics if I decide to go on..
What is your opinion on this deal given you can add about $10-15k USD and get a similar but less than 20,000miles and one year newer, full factory warranty 2015+ AMG E63S? Or would you save money?
Anything in particular to look for if I decide to get this 2014?
Thanks guys, I appreciate all opinions.

price is pretty good and if you want the white/cream seats then better buy this one as they are harder to find.

2014 Mercedes E63S AMG
Go go it, lot of car for the price there.
Plus it's hard to find these without the boring all black interior. The mystic red/black interior of mine is what sold me over any other e63's out there.

Beautiful car love the exterior color and white inside. It is higher mileage and a private seller, plus is almost out of factory warranty where if it was from a dealer you could negotiate and push to have it CPO'd and get another warranty year but not with private party.
Ask for the full service history paperwork so you know what's been worked on which the owner should be able to have the servicing dealer provide.
There are a lot of private party 2014 and 2015 E63s on the market and in my experience it seems private party sellers ask for premiums on price and their cars stay on the market for much longer. So you can hopefully negotiate a Lower price especially since the warranty is almost expired.
I bought my 15 E63 S as CPO from a dealer but considered a beautiful private party 2015 with even more upgrades for a few thousand more but not CPO. but the seller would not allow a pre purchase inspection or budge on his price. His car is still on the market on cars . Com now 4 months later (Chicago market) and he's dropped his price 5k and still hard to sell considering the many similarly priced or lower dealer sale vehicles which are CPO but perhaps lacking the upgrades.
All I can say is look around a lot and Be patient. These are exceptional vehicles and you will love what ever you buy but getting one with as much remaining warranty as possible and lower miles is the way to go in my opinion. Good luck!!

Wait it out man. Wagons go quickly but at the 70k price range they don't move like 40 to 50k rare cars. If you're super lucky you get that cpo'd car too making the warranty even greater.
