Hello, Yes you're absolutely correct. You will have to remove the steering wheel and Airbag to disconnect the factory paddle plugs. Sorry forgot to mentioned this in the 1st post. Also another huge important thing before the installation is to disconnect the battery. VERY IMPORTANT!!!!! Thank you
