OE tuned 2013 CLS63 PP [Dyno sheet]

I got my car tuned today by OE tuning and the car now is really FAST

Dyno sheet stock vs tune

Just to let you know guy I didn't take AFR reading on stock runs

Car is running on 91 octane and it has K&N filters

Is this stage 1? It seems a bit low for hp increase.
Others reported more like 100 crank whereas this is about 65.
Not trying to start a tuner war discussion, just was wondering what you were sold.

Stout #s for just a tune on 91octane. By 4600 your already above 500HP where the stock tune is around 420ish. Crazy power through the whole curve. Stock 520ft @ 3k vs 620ft after tune! Takes a lot to squeeze 100hp out of a 55k, Im sure its really fast now.

I was thinking the same about the gains but every time we run the car we get higher numbers I didn't want to run it more than 3 runs
The first run after tune was 514whp then 530whp the more it get hotter the more increase in hp that was on 91octane I think on 100octane +20whp more maybe

congrats on your new power

i know you will love it.

the car will become stronger after driving it harder, i tested mine against couple of tunes on street, and i walk on them easily.

Good assessment... I have the same tune and the gains at peak were not my goal but the gains thru the curves were indeed what I cared about most. Also his car was a PP so it started with a higher baseline than a non PP.

The OE tune has never caused me a plug foul or a CEL either.

I hear people talk about peak #s all the time which frustrates tuners. Its not about peak numbers. Much more heat is generated as you make more power at the top of the curve, where detonation can come into play which we all know can hurt the motor. This needs to be taken into consideration, I like to see large gains down low in torque and a steady gain in HP through the curve. Thats what makes a great tuner, great

The stock tune doesn't make 500hp until 5300rpm and stays there for 100rpm until 5400 rpm and never recovers, after the tune HP stays well above 500 from 4300 and peaks around 5800. My jaw dropped when I saw the graph, its amazing how much power Mercedes left on the table.

Thanks for the information about the fact that your car got better numbers.
Very good point on the curves. Very impressive indeed to get 500rwhp a few thousand rpm before. That makes a huge difference on the street .

I don't know so far, no records have been announced, nor anyone recorded their runs, but i recall dbasons55 got 11.6 with sticky tires, Tofeo Tires. and some guys said they got 12.0 , 12.3, 11.8. tuned ones. i heard someone got 11.3 on Yas also but not sure who or what modes it have. couldn't find any record for it.

i only have a downpipe and a tune, no cooling mods or anything else and street tires.

Yes mine were done too--- my dyno was on a lower reading dyno dynamic machine but like most things, dynos can be manipulated. I believe the OP has the exact same tune.

As for the M5- no OBDII tune yet and I dont want to pull the ECU. BMW moves at much faster level when it comes to mods/tunes so Im anticipating a tune ready in January. There are tunes out already but not OBDII tunes.

Here was my OE tuning dyno and rpm sheet:

the low end gains are just a function of how the dyno places a load on the drivetrain. you can't just magically tune in extra low end torque. a tune is not going to spool the turbos any faster. the extra power (for all intents and purposes) only comes from the extra boost pressure, hence gains will be realized only when the tuned psi exceeds the max base psi.

I understand how the dyno works. I think you missed the point. People look at peak #s instead of looking at the curve and the gains made through the range between pre and after tune. You can have a tune with a peak hp or tq number from lets say 5k to 53k and find that impressive, yet the rest of the curve gains are mediocre. My point.

Just an FYI...your wrong about not spooling the turbos faster. I've seen tuners play with fuel and timing to get higher egt's which translates into faster spool.

that is right, peak numbers are not the most important thing here, but the gains through the whole RPM line.

believe me, i smoked some tuned M157s that claim they are 20-30hp more than me based on their dyno high peak results.
