Help: Battery Discharges in 3 days, 6 AMPs drawing

With my '14 CLS63 sitting and all systems off (as far as I know), the large battery in the engine compartment discharges such that in 3 days the car will not start. When I connect an ammeter it shows a 6 AMP current, at least initially! Leads to my volt/ammeter get very hot very quickly so I cannot leave this connected to see if the current decreases.

With the car sitting in the garage, voltage at this battery and at the jump-start terminals in the engine bay gradually decreases as:

Day 0: 12.42 volts fully charged
Day 1: 12.04 volts
Day 2: 11.86 volts
Day 3: 11.00 volts, car will not start.

The small battery in the trunk stays solid at 12.9-13.0 volts all this time. A check of the large battery at AutoZone shows it is OK with no internal shorts.

I'll head to the dealer, but that is 120 miles away so I'm hoping to find the problem. Any suggestions and help are much appreciated.
