I'll be damned, looks great.......thanks for livening the board up, I still think it'd be epic to have the collection shot: I'm sure there would be someone up to the task...

It was and is a great car, dont get me wrong... I just wanted something more intoxicating. The TT-S is the faster car from a dig and up top but this car weighs in around 3100 lbs and just has an audible note to it that overwhelms any diminished amount of performance that I lost when I sold the TT-S. I actually got rid of the TT-S for this:
One day sir but I dont really care about pics- I use my cheesy cell phone for all of these to share. The R8 and the BS are at my other home so they dont get that much love. LOL.

Yeap - this forum is rather dead. I've been checking in here for the past few weeks and all I see is as after ad after ad. Ugly wheels galore. The mods should do something about this.
I've been spending some time on the AMG PL, no ads there and a good community and I figure AMG heads from here are on the PL anyway.
But in the spirit of keeping things alive - here's a pic of my brand spankin' new CLS63 S AMG!
Edit: on mobile, switching to desktop for the pic upload.

Wow, that looks fantastic. I'm trying to stay away from the dealership because I know I will be tempted to trade up
What are your impressions?
@Vic Keep living the dream man, it gives the rest of us something to aspire to more pics of the GT3 from that cheesy iPhone please.

Thanks! Will post some more pics later.
Thanks! Absolutely love it. Picked it up a few days ago so only 200 miles on the odometer, have been going on nightly drives and tearing up our local streets here. Very hard car to keep under 4.5k RPMs during the break in.
Handling is superb, confident vs. a somewhat a loose and unstable during cornering CLS550. The 4Matic really sticks this car to the ground. I've driven some AMGs in the past and this by far the best one ever, and by a lot.
MCT just feels right, there's no lag during shifts in M, downshift blips are music to your ears (just like the BMW DCT I've had), S and S+ is even better than M, will rev match gears and knows exact what and how to do it. I don't know what they did to the MCT vs. pre-MY15 but it's wonderful.
Just grinning nonstop, tremendous car, black wheels look better in person, interior is solid, CF trim, new COMAND is nice even though 9/10 forum people "hate it" before even seeing it. Steering wheel is the best one yet.
Question: does S and S+ lower the car by 1"? I read somewhere that it does but can't find it. Documentation for AMG cars vs. standard MB's is awful.

i was also wondering if they changed the exhaust sound at all? or still same?
i always thought it needed to be a little louder. actually a fair bit louder.

I'm still enjoying my 2014 CLS63-S. Unlike my CLS55, I have basically kept it stock except for the lowering springs and adjustable links. Has had no issues other than a dead battery (had to call roadside for the first time ever) and there is an intermittent grinding noise from the steering rack usually when it it is cold. The Designo Cashmere White paint has held up very well, with minimal maintenance - just a quick was with foam gun and CG matte soap every couple weeks.
I'm in the middle of a 3 year lease on it. Plan from the beginning was to move into an S-Class Coupe in 2016... already starting to think about a S63 Coupe in early 2016! But I will keep an eye on what Porche has planned with the Panamera too.

By chance do you have a Valentine 1 radar detector installed with their "SAVVY" unit connected to the OBD connector? After buying my "SAVVY" unit, Valentine posted a disclaimer staying that this device will drain the battery on some vehicles (including Mercedes.) Within 4 days, my battery would be down to less than 9 volts so I am no longer using this product and have the V1 connected via a cigarette lighter socket.
