2017 or 2018 CLS
Does anyone have any idea what year the CLS will be changing the body style. I heard that the E class will be unveiled at the Paris auto show in September and the CLS will be released a Cple months later. Any info will be appreciated.

Lol not a fan of beamers or audis, I've always been in love with the cls when it came out. Regardless my deposit is fully refundable if by chance I really don't like it.

Details on the 2017 Panamera have just come out. The CLS has some major catching up to do... and this is coming from someone who has driven a CLS (AMG C219 then AMG C218) for the last ten years. I never liked the current Panamera model much - neither the exterior nor interior - but the new ones looks much, much better and they finally modernized the controls/displays. I was also impressed they seem to have shaved down the previously ridiculous list of options to a selection more comparable to BMW and Mercedes.

Having ordered a 911 in 2013 and a CLS63 in 2015, I can tell you that with Porsches you have to pay extra for everything whereas the CLS had few options and gave lots more value for the money, IMO. Of course, we're comparing a sports car to a sedan but when you consider what you get for similar money, the CLS63 is way better value unless you plan on tracking your car. Having gone online to Porsche's configurator and started a configuration on a Panamera, it became clear that the same applies to it as it does to all other Porsche models, i.e., that everything is optional and little comes standard. A comparably equipped Panamera will cost $50K more than a well-appointed CLS63. Mine is only 15 months into its 36-month lease but unless something special comes along by March, 2018 when my lease is up, chances are I'll get a 2018 CLS63. My only reservation about doing so is I'm not happy with the MCT automatic transmission as low speeds when driving aggressively. It gets numb and hesitates way too long to accelerate under certain conditions at low speeds in first gear after hard braking. Hope they fix that by 2018!

You're not joking. Configuring my Cayman S on the Porsche site easily doubled the MSRP when adding options before I ultimately scaled it back. I still ended up with $30k + in options without getting anything over the top.

I'm actually quite excited, hopefully more pictures will circulate, they have done a good job disguising the car :-( lol
