Smoked tail lights...

Hey guys I was exploring the possibility of putting smoked rear tail lights on the CLS.

1. Does anyone have these, and have they had problems with the cops?

2. Would this make the car ghetto?

3. Where do you buy them?

PICs?

I like it, but I like the red tail light better. As far as being ghetto, do whatever you want to your CLS.

JUST DO NOT GET THE ASMA BODY KIT. PLEASE!

I dont like the spray tint. Go to a good body shop and have them paint them black and throw a clear coat over it. Looks much better and cleaner that way especially during the day when the rear lights are not on. Even with them painted at night the lights are still very visable. With the new LED tail lights anyone who wants to black out there lights and dont paint them is going to be short changing themselves. The LED's are going to look great no matter how dark those lights are. Thats just my 2 cents if you want a picture email me and I can send you some pictures!

here are my tail lights, they are painted and then clear coated for a smooth and dark finish, at night they are fine there is very little visability lost. No problems with cops and in my opinion it looks better than the spray tint. My buddys shop has also painted many tail lights to match the car, another friend just picked up a cls550 in flint gray and his lights are getting painted to match the car ill try to post a pic soon.
