Changing Command Console and speakers in 2007 CLS550

Hi I have 2007 Mercedes CLS 550. I wanted to upgrade the audio equipment in the car. I wanted to start with the inconsole command center. Want to take it out and replace it with Pioneer AVH-4100NEX or similar item. Is that something that is doable or does the Mercedes not play nice with this set? Any advice will be great. thanks.

I did it, at a cost of $3,500. You will have to build a custom wiring harness, or try to find a wiring kit. I installed an Alpine unit with navigation, 6 speakers, and a subwoofer. Your dash will need some modification.
