should I buy a cls55 with 90k miles?
What sre some of the potential issues at this mileage?
When does the suspension normaly go out?
What state is the supercharger in and are they prone to failing?
What about the transmision and motor? Are these cars known for issues?
What other headaches might be there? Im assuming the car has been serviced tegularly.
How much are rotors?
Thanks in advance

that's an amazing price for the mileage, however the car can be a complete toilet (as far as stuff that it might need) so unless you have some (dealer or regular service history) I would be very careful buying it

well I bought mine in June of 2015 with 115k it was a 1 owner Dealer Serviced (I have records from day 1 until two weeks before I bought it) the car was super duper clean and bone stock I paid $17.5k, depending on the condition and service records a clean CLS55 with that many miles should be anywhere between $18-21K

There are a few things.
If dynamic seats - the pump in trunk goes out commonly. upgraded version resolves issues $$$
air struts might be worn - replace with arnotts or coils $$$$
front sway bar bushings - replacement is cheap but requires drop of front subframe $$
window regulators - I had the 2 fronts go (knew it when i bought it....helped negotiate price) $$

06 CLS55 w/ P030, 05 Jag S Type R, 05 TBird-68 Dodge Charger R/T-440 w/4speed I'm original owner
Known issue as per TSB are the leaking valve cover liquid applied factory gaskets and the leaky seals on the fuel tank and at some fittings on the tranny. Hopefully they have been replaced.
Carefully inspect drivetrain for any fluid leaks. Repair as necessary.
The valve cover gasket has been the only repair since new with my CLS 55. Currently 60k miles.
My CLS 55 has the 030 performance package with the 2 piece front rotors. About $1k ea at dealer, little less on line.
Best advice, replace all fluids, filters and belts.
Get an alignment with balancing and inspect all bushings and links for wear and trear. Replace what needs to be replaced.
Check the OBDII codes for any hidden gremlins.
Change out the 16 Spark Plugs if not already done. It will have a noticeable increase in performance.
The tranny is adaptive. Reset it and notice the performance improvement. Check the forum on how to do it.
Expect costs at least $1000.00++ and up depending on suspension and spark plugs.
If and when you get it smoged, check the emissions output. Low levels indicate a well performing engine. High readings usually indicate lots of engine wear and rear.
At the end of the day, an amazing car with stunning looks and amazing performance.

$11.9 is too low to be true. Better have PPI done before purchase.
I bought mine 2 years ago with 85K miles and so far only oil change, Engine air filter and carbine air filter changed. My car is fully loaded with everything u can think of. Parking sensor, keyless go, etc... The only thing I am afraid is the airmatic suspension. I am doing BC coil over for my 06 E55 first.

This is not a cheap car to own. It will need maintenance and tires alone are more than a grand unless you buy junk. If you can afford to keep it up, buy it, they're worth it.

just leave about 3-5K in immediate expense to bring the car up to spec at that mileage. Just picked up a cls55 with P030 and Distronic and every other option apart from designo with 103k for a similar price. Im getting a new steering rack due to it leaking (common problem), sway bar, upper control arms both sides, lower control arms both side, lower thrust arms both side, tie rods, new filters, engine and tranny mounts, trans flush, pilot bushing, spark plugs, engine oil, brake fluid flush, CPS sensor and IC pump (both preventive), new left headlight washer due to leaking, rear main seal.... you get the idea. Motor and trans still running strong! know what to expect.. get a PPI done and use it to negotiate. At least thats what I did since I really wanted the car.

I need a brake job soon, i was quoted by my family Merc mechanic $1024 for a front brake job with labor. i have a slow leak in my radiator, replacement for that including labor was around $1000.
nothing is cheap on a Benz especially an AMG car.

this is true, mine has 99k on it, no major issues but prepare yourself for the cost of ownership.

$1024 for front only is way too high. Radiator is about $700 with labor.
