Holy acceleration !! 30-70 2.6 sec 50-70 1.5 sec

Last night a did a few runs and was pretty damned impressed. 0-60 MPH is just 3.2 seconds. I was hoping to get it into the upper 2s like a few others have gotten with tune and pipes but its still pretty damn good. What impressed me more was the 30-70 in 2.6 seconds and the 50-70 MPH in 1.45 seconds. ZR1 Corvette with 640 HP for instance does 30-70 in 3.8 seconds. Not bad for a large luxury family sedan

Couldn't find much for the 50-70. The Tesla P90Ds are in the 1.6 range

Few other cars for comparison 0-60 and 30-70MPH

McLaren F1 3.2sec 2.1sec
Caterham R500 3.4sec 2.6sec
Ferrari Enzo 3.5sec n/a
Pagani Zonda 3.7sec 2.6sec
Noble M12 3.9sec 3.3sec
Lamborghini Murcielago 4.0sec 3.6sec
Lotus Esprit V8 GT 4.1sec 3.5sec
2012 GTR 2.9sec 1.7sec

Wow that's very impressive, what tyres are you running on the tear, and what form of timing method you using.?

Thank you. It now has Pilot Super Sports in the front and worn 285/19 Conti DWs out back. Getting some Super sports for rear soon. Not sure about timing. It has AWD .Whats even more impressive is you can do pretty much the same on wet roads believe it or not. I can floor it from a stop in a downpour and it wont spin at all until the 1-2 shift. Even that isnt bad. These new AWD platforms really are amazing. Its Needed for so much power too. If my old CTS V had AWD I probably would have kept it. My 06 E55 AMG sure needed it too. The new 2017s have a drift mode where you can have it run just through the rears.

Nice one. Sorry I may have missed it, so you obviously running a new gen amg with awd, I saw e55 in your profile and was surprised with the times on that, but now it explains it. What I meant by timing was are you using a v-box or stopwatch or??? For your timing methods. Still super impressed with times, wish I could achieve that.

Oh yes its the new one with AWD. Although my previous E55 with R compound Toyo RA1 I was able to pull off a 3.4 0-60 and very consistent 3.5s. If that car had AWD I bet it would have gotten into the 2s no problem with its instant tq. I mainly drove with Pilot Super Sports which were good for 3.7 best and consistent 3.8-3.9s..... Hankook Evo v12s got me horrible 4.5+

For timing I am using V-box
