2001 C240 6spd
another suspension question

I would like to modify the suspension on my 2001 C240 - 17" wheels. Would like to stiffen it up a bit, but would like to try to keep the same factory ride height.
Does anyone have recommendations?
Option 1. change both springs and dampers
Option 2. change springs only
Option 3. change dampers only
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

depends on the weather
in order to "stiffen up" your suspension and keep the stock ride height I would recommend that you get some adjustable dampers and a good set of sway bars

Luke

Are dampers the same as cup kits? Or what's the difference?

Thanks!

A cup kit is a matched set of springs and shocks, not dampers. Dampers are simply shocks. Luke was suggesting that he get stiffer shocks, since most stiffer springs lower the car as well.

No prob. On a side note, I'm on a slower computer right now, so your "picture" bounces in slow motion!

My Avatar represents me, is that what you look like? Or do you just ride it?
