Has anyone here plus-sized the tires on their CL63 or S63?

I just bought an '08 CL63 and the tires will need replacement at some point before long. Stock sizes are 255/35/20 and 275/35/20.

I was thinking about getting a little more bite up front and grip in the back.

Have any of you gone with slightly wider tires on the stock 20" wheels?

Is there a consensus on what tires to go with for these wheels?

Thanks in advance

I'd have to say that a 265/35/20 should work on the front, and a 295/30/20 should work on the rear, based on the rim width range.

Interestingly, most of the 265s I've been looking at say 9" minimum wheel width. I believe these fronts are 8.5. MB couldn't possibly have used all the wheel width, could they?
